St. Patrick's Day photos...
Posted in Celtic Events
Well, better late than never, right? :)
Here are some pictures of the parade and a performance afterward at the Irish Cultural Center. Enjoy!
Disclaimer: if you are, as I am, a faithful, or even occassional, reader of Alyssa's over at crazybusy, then you are familiar with what superior quality photography is, and indeed what all photographs should look like. You won't find that here, lol! However, I do hope that our photographic abilities improve after I pick Alyssa's brain before we travel to the UK and Ireland next year..... consider yourself warned, Alyssa.... lol!!!
Here's Jigger, ready for the parade to begin!

Here's Piper with the band; he's the one to the direct right/behind of the man in shadow.

Here's Piper again; he's a little ahead of his line, but it created a perfect photo op! :)

Here's Jigger and his partner. They were partners through the whole parade and did a two-hand during the parade as well.

This last one is of Jigger dancing at the Irish Cultural Center with another dancer from his school.

Well, there you have it! An extremely abbreviated version of our St. Patrick's Day (week) celebration. Wow, I actually got it posted. What other feats shall I perform today?? What other mountains shall I scale?? What else can I cross off my to-do list of gargantuan proportions?? I rather think nothing. I feel I've peaked for the day. *sigh*
Make it a great one!!!!

Don't be so hard on yourself! I think your photos are great! I wish I could have been at the parade to see your precious boys in action. I'm so proud of them! I take really lousy photos and have resigned myself to that. I'm just not gifted (not everyone CAN be, right?) Thanks for your nice comments about my travel post. I love it when people can experience what I experienced through my words. When we played racquetball, like you, it all came back to me in a flash - the body slams against the concrete wall, the ducking and covering my head when my dh served, never face the ball coming from behind. The whole nine yards! Staggering up the stairs after playing, I realized I wasn't 20 anymore! But I'd still love to play around here - maybe I can find a court somewhere in my corner of OR. I like the new look of your blog - nice and spring-like! Have a great week!

Well, a few minutes ago, I made a nice and not-too-brief comment here. Then my computer went berserk and ate it. I had copied it to clipboard, but that got eaten too. God's way of telling me to go to bed, I think (it's after 1 am). I'm too tired to think it all thru again; so sorry. So i'll just condense it down to one word-- thanks for the encouragement! OK, that was 3. More later.

And I am cracking up at your disclaimer! :) First off, thank you for the huge compliment!! You are too kind to me! And secondly, I LOVE looking at people's pictures and look at them through mommy's eyes, unless I'm specifically asked to critique them.
JIgger's a handsome dude! I love his hair! I try to do that with my boys' hair but it never turns out as nice and neat as Jigger's. Alek's got some wild hair!
So in the 2nd picture of Piper, he's in the second row furthest away from you? I would love to hear them play! I love the bagpipes. How tall is he?
And one more question if you don't mind. What is a "two-hand"?
I really enjoyed seeing your pics, Shani!!!! :)
love, Alyssa
p.s. Are you sure you want Millie for a visit!? She is the strongest willed child I know... LOL! She may make you want to get your tubes tied or something LOL!
