In my prolonged absence from the blogging community, part of what I began to achieve was a more concentrated focus on making our home our spiritual, emotional, and comforting center. Homes are so much more than simply where you 'hang your hat.' They are our centers, our havens, our calm oasis in the middle of the maelstorm we call 'the world.' What does your haven do for you?

I would like us to take some time in the coming months to examine what our homes say about us, what we feel when we step into our homes as an occupant and as a visitor, and what our homes make the cherished others who call it home as well feel like. Do we have too much clutter? Are we on a regular cleaning routine? Can we have a 'down' day and our homes not suffer for it? Will we welcome unexpected visitors with a smile first, instead of second (after the frown)?

Let us see how calming, soothing, and joyful our homes can truly be. Let us see how simply we can live, and in living simply, be rewarded with riches beyond measure and imagination.
