Very cool picture, Shani! Now that's not something we see around here!
This area is very nice, but I must warn you about the sun factor. :) It's really, really hard to go from some place that gets so much sun to so little. I never thought it'd bother me (cuz I LOVED the rain before we moved here), but it really gets to me after a while. But it'd be so fun to have you close... :)
I don't think I knew you were in CA! How nice that you got to get away for a bit!
Love, Alyssa

What a lovely picture!

I enjoyed your "Tightwad" post but I REALLY enjoyed the flat tire episode! How funny that you and I both experienced a flat tire and posted about it, just within a few days of each other! I'm so thankful the Lord answered your prayers - I know how it feels to be helped by kind souls!

Glad you had such a nice weekend. And "good job" to your boys!

Take care - good to read your blog again!

What a neat picture! Did you take this picture near where you live? We don't have large cactuses here, but we have some briars that feel almost as bad! : )

May. 23, 2008 - Thank you!

Hi Pam,

Yes, I did snap this picture here; just around the corner in the parking lot of our church, as a matter of fact. Saguaro cacti are all over here, and are, in fact protected, as here in the Sonoran Desert is the only place on earth that they grow.

Thanks for stopping by!
