Of Rabbit Trails and Other Things...

Posted in The Daily Grind

Okay, so this morning Robyn posted a little video on YouTube, and once I had it going, I discovered someone lurking in my midst (keep in mind I'm alone all week while the boys are away on holiday [say the part in italics in a haughty, British accent, it's fun!], so the discovery of someone lurking about was surprising, to say the least).  I discovered someone I thought long gone:  rocker-80s-girl-with-the-huge-hair-and-bad-fashion-sense.  Not kidding.

Where did *she* come from??!?

Well, since I am alone.... why not enjoy some other (loud) hits of theirs and hum (scream) along while reorganizing the library with Mary?  (Okay, I'll interject here to clarify, with all honesty, that Mary:  I haven't actually began cleaning yet.  *sigh*  I know, I'm disappointed [not really] in me too.  In my defense, though, I *am* all alone.....)

Anyway, (can't say the title didn't warn you, and this is me without caffeine, ladies - aren't you glad I usually sensor myself??) - *Anyway* - imagine my shock upon discovering a duet much like caviar and Gatorade.  Enjoy - I actually did.  I'm off to spray/blow dry/ tease my hair to see if I can still get it to stick straight out from the side of my head right over my left ear - c'mon, you *know* you did it too!!!!

Well, even if you got side tracked [0; you did it !!!

Now me on the other hand ( ohh btw I did get side tracked ) and I still have a bit to go. But , I am okay with this. I will get it done in time for S&T. [0= I am going to ask you to think of another BIG job you have been procrastinating on. Then join me again on getting these pesky jobs DONE. I have a room that is my future bathroom ( that is connected to my bedroom) and it will have my clawfoot tub to soak in this winter ! So I need to get motivated to get all the STUFF that I am storing in there OUT and then we can finish that bathroom. I will for sure have a before and after pic for THIS one. [0= I will be doing a BIG "happy dance" for that to be done. [0=

Blessings and ((HUGS)) my SSiC
In Him<><

Bon Jovi & Pavarotti together-- who'da thought? And it didn't even crash my computer.

But housecleaning and kid-free time to oneself do NOT go together. Kid-free time should never be spent doing the ordinary, mundane, or disagreeable things of everyday life. Though an organization project might be OK, since it is the sort of thing that (a) can be difficult to accomplish with the interruptions of offspring, and (b) instills a sense of accomplishment when finished. Unlike, say, cleaning bathrooms.

RYC- oh, I forgot to check out the hummus recipe before I commented, but I'll do it after. I did find some good hummus recipes on the web, ibcluding 2 tahini-free. Tahini actually is not on SoyCheez' Verboten List, however, so we don't actually need a tahini-free recipe. But we thought we'd try one anyway so as to avoid the extra step of buying or making tahini (since we already have all the other ingred). We do have to adapt our recipes a little, though, since they all call for olive oil & garlic and she can't have those on the same day as garbanzos. But at least she is on a 2-day rotation now instead of a 4-day-- that makes things much easier.

Oh, and thanks for the tip re blogspot; I didn't know you could make those blogs private. At this point I only want to share photos, not create another blog, but I have already considered doing a blogspot blog and may do so eventually. I already have a blogger account for commenting purposes, but not a blog.
