Happiest at Home...

Nov. 3, 2008
Happy Monday! And Other Assorted Things...

Posted in The Daily Grind

A Happy Monday Greeting to you, my dear friends!  I took an unscheduled blogging break last week when push came to shove around my home, and I am so much the better for it.  Thank you for all of your well-wishes and warm comments while I was gone.  They were so nice to come back to today.  I have missed you all, and look forward to catching up with everyone.

While I was gone, we went to library twice (where I got a smoking good deal I'll share with you later), we went to dance and pipes lessons, we caught up on things around the house (cleaned out both freezers and took inventory, thankyouverymuch), a Halloween costume was made from scratch (no pattern, thankyouverymuch) in under two hours, we made Tina's pumpkin spice bread for the first time and drooled over the smell as it was baking (it's delicious, and we heartily recommend you go make some), we did the mundane (groceries), caught up with some wonderful friends at the park for an entire glorious day, drove down to Tucson for the Celtic Festival where Piper competed (pictures and results forthcoming), and spent a restful day yesterday gearing up for the week ahead.

I hope you all had a wonderful week last week, and that this week has begun on a cheery note for all.  I'll see you all soon!

Nov. 3, 2008 - Hi Shani,

I Love the picture.
WOW, you got a lot accomplished. I love blogging, but I'm having to slow down a lot. I put the `Blogging without Obligation` sign on my blog to remind me that my family comes before blogging. I am trying to get on a schedule of visiting blogs on Monday and doing Meme's on Tuesday & Wednesday. So, if anyone wonders where I am, I'm spending time with my family. :)
Blessings,
Michelle

Glad you had a good week. I've been blogging a lot less, myself. Visiting maybe one or two friends a day - and today, you're one of them!

Have a terrific rest-of-the-week!

Hi! I saw your blog online and remembered you from chatting and just wanted to share with you that I am the piper in our family! I started lessons when my third was 6 months old and my oldest was 3 1/2, thinking that there would be no other chance to put the effort into learning once the schooling really ramped up in about a year --so then I started with the local pipe band that summer and played til I couldn't fit into my kilt anymore (around 4 months pregnant with my 4th) and then kept it up on my own until playing made me have contractions (lol) around the 8th month....and now we are in Hawaii and the 4th is 6 months old, and I play with the Celtic Pipes and Drums of Hawaii. It is nice having an outlet for myself (I am not a blogger, which is another outlet for people) and something that lets me interact with adults and non-Christians (to be a witness) on a regular basis. Just wanted to let you know because I saw that your kids were into that :)
