Chelsea is just fine

Chelsea is is just fine.

She goes on her trip soon ( 24 Oct) to California for 2 weeks with Koru Care

I have got sick again & had to call my Mum around so she could clean the house while I stay in bed with the flu bug again.

I t is freezing cold here with snow down to 400 metres & rain & southerly wind so I am dressed warmly with the gas going.

Chelsea is is on her last week of school holidays this week.

little update

On Monday Chelsea was pale & fatigued. She finally manged to get out of her warm bed about 11am once I had the lounge warmed up so she could jump on the couch with her big fluffy red blanket.

Mum is doing much better but the pine pollen is making my asthma play up some days.

August Update

  August already?

We have had beautiful sunny days with no wind & that means big frost's in the morning

Sunday night it was -1 which is cold for us.

Ah you US & Canadians stop laughing at about the -1.

Chelsea is doing great she love's her club swimming which she does every Friday. I have seen a great improvement in her swimming. But then she is a good swimmer takes after Mum who use to club swimming in my younger years too.

Chelsea's Grandma, (My Mum) is sick at home with a chest infection & was to sick for a 2 week trip.

Grandma is on antibiotics but finds it very hard to do her normal activities as mum is a very active person who hate's sitting down for a long period of time.

Lots of sickness?

Hi Everyone

May/June has been very cold with lots of big snow falls in some parts of NZ & lots of rain too.

With the new Influenza A (H1N1) Swine Flu here in New Zealand & with it been winter.

6thJuly to date: confirmed cases in New Zealand is 1059 & climbing daily.

It is 2 weeks of school holidays for Chelsea & I am having a 2 week break to.

Chelsea & I have been very lucky that we have just got the dry cough buy that is going around.

With Chelsea's illness I am been very carefully.

Her teacher is all on the look out for any class mates that come to school with runny nose & is going to send Chelsea to the office straight away so they can ring me.

With me having a cold it is not helping my asthma which is not to good at all.

The gas heater also decided it was going to be sick too so we are solely relying on the oil heater which makes the power bill go up.

But hopefully someone from  our church family is going to loan us a gas heater until our one can get fix.

Chelsea is a little bit anaemia  which makes her look pale & get blue lips.

Wish this was a better update but we know that pray works.

Swimming with Moko the wild dolphin

Moko The Dolphin

Moko The three-year-old dolphin has made Mahia Beach it's home since it first came to the region during Easter 2007.

Many a bodyboard, crayfish buoy and rugby ball have been taken out to sea, never to be seen again, as the cheeky dolphin continues to play on her own.

Others have been on the receiving end of Moko's generosity, said Department of Conservation programme manager Jamie Quirk.

"He/She (Not sure what sex yet), has actually been bringing fish to people. People have had kahawai and gurnard brought to them and some lucky people have had her bring them seahorses," he said.

My sister lives in Nuhaka/Mahia & Moko as brought them live Kahawai then they have been out water skiing or weight boarding.

Chelsea & her friend Emma plus me & Mum plus two dogs drove the 3 hour trip to Mahia on 10 April until 16 April as it was easter/school holidays.

All but Grandma & the 2 dogs went swimming with Moko the girls went Kayaking too.

lucky for us we all manged to fit into wet-suits of my sister.

Chelsea platelet count is 140.
