About Me

I like to talk. In fact I don't even mind talking to myself. Sometimes that is the only way I can get someone to listen to me.

Cape Cod and Ice Cream

Posted in General Talking

Earlier in the month, my sister and I went to the Cape to celebrate my Mother's turning 60 in February of this year.  We spent a lovely two nights at the Dan'l Webster Inn and Spa.  We relaxed a lot, shopped a little and had varying spa treatments.  I opted for the short scalp treatment and a nap Friday night while Mom had a facial and my sister had a good long massage.  Ahhhh..

We had some good laughs too.  At one point in the hotel Friday night, my mother's cell phone was ringing.   And as it rang my sister searched for it and couldn't find it and my mother says, "maybe I left it in the car."    LOL  I'm not sure if she was being blond or senile (of which she is truely neither) but we all did have a good hearty laugh.

On Saturday night we went in search of an ice cream stand, we were a little concerned we might not find an open one so early in the season but we did.

Ah, you probably noticed my jacket is zipped all the way up to my neck.    I rarely do this but it was only 40 degrees out and uh...drizzling.  As you can see from the speckles in this photo of my sister.  Just to prove that I am not the only crazy person who loves ice so much that I stand outside in the raw cold weather to eat it, here's one of some other people that were there.  I don't know them.

I hear it's a New England thing.  The line at the stand was pretty steady for the half hour we spent there.  Oh and just before we left my sister caught one great pic on her cell phone.  You're going to love it.

ROFLOL!!!!

Yes, that man is wearing a sweatshirt with shorts and flip flops.  You can't see his daughter.  She's in front of him, also in flip flops and shorts, both of them standing in line for an ice cream!  I love it!
