Thanksgiving is coming and I am enjoying the preparations. We are already in full swing here with all the grandparents coming plus one aunt. I made my grocery list over the weekend and have our menu planned including who is bringing what. I am very happy about that. It's so rare for me to be ahead of the game. We're also almost finished painting our bathroom. What? Isn't painting the bathroom normally part of the Thanksgiving prep? LOL OK, DMIL gave me all kinds of wonderful decorations so I could redo the half bath. She did this in July. And she has already been out to visit once in October and we still did not have the bathroom painted so I could put up all my new stuff. Lastly, my dd is baking pumpkin rolls as a little business this year so we are gearing up for all that baking too. She's made all her lists and almost finished her shopping, aside from 2 pounds of butter. Her plan is to do all the baking this week and fill the rolls on Saturday. Dear Father, I am so thankful for all of our many blessings, our children, our home and the food you so willingly provide. Lord, hear the prayers of my blogging buddies, may they too have gratitude on their lips and joy in their hearts as only your Spirit can bring this Thanksgiving. Please make this Thanksgiving a joyous occasion for my visiting family. May they arrive safely and return home in your loving care. In the name of Jesus I pray. Amen |

Embarrassed by the whole thing, I cannot let her visit again without having it all done! So we are just about finished, I think if one more coat of paint will cover dear children's beautiful drawings on the wall in there we might actually be able to have it complete by tomorrow.
