Oct. 9, 2007 - ~The~Source~Of~Light~
Consider, for a moment, the amazing way in which we see light around us.
In a luminous rainbow:

What makes the colors of the rainbow?
In a spectacular sunset:

How do amazing colors like these appear in the sunset?
The clouds part and a starburst of sun beams apear and make amazing forms.......

The colors change rapidly. How can we perceive it?
How amazing that the very eye we have needs light in order to see the creation God has made.
Isn't it amazing that it is the very first thing He made?
LIGHT

Is man really all that clever to create reflected light?

Genesis 1: 1-4
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.
Keep your eyes trained today on the light ---not just the light we see, but the light of God's Word.
Blessings!

Sep. 19, 2006 - ~Capturing~the~Educational~Moment~
What exactly is it?
Can you indeed snatch it out of your experience and preserve it?
Is it when your children are quietly working side-by-side without any external pressure.....because they know what is right
and endeavor to do such?

Is it the unique discovery of a child through a windowpane, of a snow-covered web suspended between branches of a lilac bush?

Is it the smiles and fun had by siblings after a day of fishing.....even though the fish were smarter than they were?

Or is it the image of a child showing responsibility and diligence....all on her own, as she works to bring in a harvest?

Yes, it is these things and so much more.
It is the light in the eyes of a child who has just discovered he won a first place ribbon at the fair...

Or the joy of discovery while spending the afternoon
searching for frogs at the edge of a pond.....

Or a boy who loves to cook....and feel asleep with a cookbook nestled up close to his heart............

It is all those things, and much much more! It is when Mom makes a very important discovery........

Apr. 6, 2006 - shining~silky~soft~fragrant~memories

Hi! I haven't posted anything for awhile, life gets toooo busy sometimes. This bouquet was a gift to my mom on her 75th birthday, and the picture on the wall is an embroidery done with satin stitches by my paternal grandmother, over 100 years ago. Can you smell the roses? They smelled so good, and were so lovely.
May our lives be a fragrance before the Lord today!

Jan. 7, 2006 - A homeschool mom's photo~blog
Hi dear friends~ I decided it was time to try something a bit different! Over the last few days you may have seen some funny sounding entries---sort of some "poetic" descriptions which I hoped would pique your interest. Hmmm......I hope you will stop over and see what I have been up to.........

The people who walked in darkness Have seen a great light; Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death, Upon them a light has shined.

About Me
I want this to be a collection of some of my most contrasting photos---showing darkness and light and how they interact with each other. Jesus was the light, sent to chase away the darkness----sometimes we have to see a little of both to see how God is working.
All photos on this page are mine, please don't copy them!
