Child Safety by MyPreciousKid.com

Welcome to MyPreciousKid.com Blog

WELCOME - I am excited to join Homeschool Blogger. We were a homeschool family from 1993-2003 when my 3rd child graduated high school. Even though we are no longer a homeschool family I still love to promote homeschool whenever I can.

HOMESCHOOL BEGINNING - In 1993 we pulled our 3 children from public school as they finished 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades. The following year we started homeschooling using Christian Liberty Curriculum. We continued to homeschool all three kids. When each reached high school age we gave them the choice of remaining in homeschool or going to public school. All chose to stay home. The first used American School Program to graduate. The second used Harcourt Program. The third used Harcourt now called Learning Direct. They each finished with an accredited diploma and then went on to community college at age 16.

BOOK & WEBSITE - During our homeschooling years I wrote a homeschool book http://www.preciouskids.org/hs/book.html and began a homeschool web site. http://www.preciouskids.org/

ADOPTION - In 2000 we adopted a newborn. I wrote a number of articles on adoption and adoptive breastfeeding. http://www.preciouskids.org/adopt/index.html

ID CARDS - With homeschool my children encountered situation where they needed ID cards. And when we traveled I found I needed ID fro my adopted daughter since we did not get her birth certificate until she was nearly a year old. So in 2001 I began http://www.MyPreciousKid.com to provide ID cards for homeschool an adoption families.

HOME BUSINESS -I have been amazed at what GOD has done with his small homeschool business. I took on several hundred reps who bought wholesale and sold retail. I started selling wholesale to other businesses. We went from just ID cars to 50 safety products for children, pets, and adults. We have added more products for special needs children.

AWARDS - Now this little homeschool business is a fulltime job for me. It sells nationally and internationally. We recently had a beautiful color ad in The Old Schoolhouse Magazine. Our WEARABLE ID PACK recently won the Adding Wisdom Award, a prestigious national award for excellence. The SHOE ID TAGS and TAGGIES products both have won the Imedia Parenting Award.

THANKS - We are thankful for all the national attention we have receive recently and wonder where God is taking our family and this home business in the future.

Jan. 31, 2006 - New safety site

Posted by Anonymous
Hey there,

Just wanted to stop by and say what a wonderful site you have. I also wanted to let you know about a new child safety site that offers a variety of free downloads for parents and educators. I think you will find it extremely useful. Hopefully you can use it in your own safety ventures, and if you could maybe even post a link to it from your blog that would be great.

Thanks again, keep up the good work.

Janice.
