Groan of the day: What did the carrot say to the wheat? Lettuce rest, I’m feeling beet.
First off I’d like to talk about yesterday’s post: As all of you saw, I simply put my stance on most of the important religious issues. I did not attempt to defend my beliefs because I was not setting it up for debate. I realize that many of you disagree with me which is cool. That said, I’d like to briefly explain my stance of: “Being gay is not a sin, but being a practicing gay is a sin.”
Being gay is in many cases a natural (yet tragic) thing. Even those that are strongly anti-gay (Answers In Genesis) admit that gay behavior is found in hundreds of animal species. AIG does however point out that just because it is natural doesn’t mean it is right. There are many Christians that are gay, and there are many Christian groups (eg. focus on the family) that help these people with their “disorder”. Lastly, it is no more being “lustful” to be a gay than to be straight. Lust is a choice no mater what your orientation.
CD Review Chris Daughtry: Daughtry A
Genre: AC/Rock

This is pure modern rock. That is what jumped out at me the first time I listened. A powerful voice, no techo noises, and guitar that is both fresh and nostalgic. Daughtry follows in the rich tradition of U2, Switchfoot, and Creed.
This all goes to show that Daughtry has more than just the coolest first name in the world. He is an amazing songwriter, and an astonishing vocalist. The song styles rage from epic, to fist pumping, to a little sad. The choruses are all memorable and catchy, making for a great listen the first time you hear it.
The song: “Over You” is one of the most aggressive and emotion grabbing on the CD. Daughtry shouts over power chords about how he got over a long time girlfriend breaking up with him. No, the lyrics on the CD don’t get spiritual, though Chris is a Christian.
A great CD for any music fan.
