To rap it up...wow that sounds like the name of a song

Groan of the day: Why did the girl run outside with her purse open? She was expecting change in the weather!

 

Given the swirl of controversy that has surrounded my blog of late, I thought I would post my thought on judging others by their beliefs (many of you have read my post on judging by appearance).

 

I guess you could call me a liberal, though you would have to contrast me with a pretty radical conservative to be able to. Most would consider me a conservative Christian. But I will admit I have a problem with that label. Let’s break it down.

 

Conservative: Someone who is old-fashioned, cautious, and looks down upon most new ideas. Someone who enjoys traditions, and serenity.

 

Wow, that is certainly not me. Yes, I believe the Bible to be true. And my man Urban D said it for me when he rapped: “We into Biblical context and not tradition, because we more concerned about your hearts condition.” That is me.

 

Christian: A: A follower of Christ. B: A follower of an established Church or denomination.

 

I only ascribe to part “A” of that definition. See, I believe that everyone should read the Bible, and follow their conscience. And let others do the same. Yes, I’m for churches, yes I’m for debate, and yes I believe in absolute truth but the thing is: I don’t have the truth…and don’t try to tell me you do, because that’s a lie. We are all wrong in areas, and we should learn to get along knowing that.

Okay, that was the most bizarre tag I've ever seen. :P

The older I get, the more I know this Biblical teaching to be true: If I have the "rightest" doctrine in the world but have not love, I'm definitely going to come across as nothing more than an annoying noise, which won't attract anyone to the Kingdom. And the Holy Spirit really doesn't need my help in sanctifying other believers. :)

We CAN know the truth and we can LEARN the truth in the Bible. The truth isn't as confusing as it seems. As long as you study and rightly divide the word of truth and obey what is written in the Bible, that's all that matters. We need to be careful on thinking of new ideas for the Church. We need to go by the Bible's standard instead of "inventing." Nadab and Abihu offered strange fire that God didn't specify. What happened to them? There are a few other examples in the Bible of people who followed men rather than God.

Act 5:29 Then Peter and the [other] apostles answered and said, We ought to obey God rather than men.

I challenge myself and all of you to go back to the Bible and search for the truth.

PS: Randomly pick one of you 223 friends and write a blog about them. LOL

I go to the Church of Christ. I don't know all our beliefs but we do believe in babtizem, the Bible, Jesus, and God.

Diffrent religions and the conflict people have about their beliefs are going to tear the world apart. If war doesn't beat it to the punch. Or the nuclear explosion.

Okay, so I've been reading up on all the problems you've been causing here at HSB, being almost the Anti-Christ and all...okay, JK....
I had to laugh at that. In a it's ridiculous kind of way. But it does make me mad, too, because you totally didn't deserve that. Don't let it get you down. Not everybody will agree with you--which is fine, of course, I don't agree with you all the time lol--but it's your blog, and you get to say what you want on it. That's the whole point of it. If people want to express their opinions, fine, but no sense attacking you because they disagree. <_<
Anyway, I could probably go on forever about this, but I'll spare you. ;)

I saw your comment on Paul's blog, and I just want touch on your view of homosexuality.

As with all sins, if you commit them then you will go to hell, unless you are forgiven. The way to be forgiven is to repent. But repentance is not the only thing you have to do, you have to repent and turn from your sin!

The Bible states that homosexuality is a sin. Its just like lying. How many times do you have to lie to become a lire Chris? If you are homosexual then you are sinning. It doesn't matter if you are trying to receive help for that problem, homosexuality = sin. If you receive Christ, and turn from that wrong attitude (which is a choice, not a birth defect) then you can receive Christs forgiveness.

I'm not sure why you brought homosexuality up in the first place, are you a homosexual?

Spazy couple of days huh? Well, no worries mate, I refuse to comment on those issues because I already have and because other peeps said enough already. (The blog I'm on is my friends so if there is a link it's not mine.)

I'm not going to beat around the bush here, what are your exact personal feelings on Coexistence? Here are MY feelings on why it is wrong.

(1) Have you ever heard of someone who tryed telling a enraged Arab with a AK-47 to love and live in peace with the rest of the world?

(2) You have a peace sign right beside the sign of the Islamic sign, and, as anyone who DID NOT LIVE through the twin towers would tell you, the Islamic religion is NOT a religion of peace. (And there Koran agrees with me)

(3) The Yin-Yang sign right beside the cross. The Yin-Yang sign stands for a balance of good and evil in one's self, when Jesus died on the cross, he was letting you wash ALL evil from yourself, and if you would read the bible, you will see that God wants NO EVIL AT ALL in us. One says let some evil in you, but the one with bloodstains on it says NOT to.

(4) The Feminist sign. Goes directly against what the bible says. Woman are NOT any WORSE than men, but the BIBLE says that woman should follow what the MEN (Mostly their husbands) in what they say. There should not be WOMEN where the MEN should be. (Once more I hold up the bible.)

Trying to get all these religions to, "Mix" is like mixing oil with water. And there is one TRUE religion, that is the one Star of David and the Cross represent. "Be in this world, not of it." And you can admit, that the other so called, "religions" are OF THIS WORLD. But if you have BIBLICAL proof (In context) that they are NOT, then I will talk more. But right now I am going to be late for Judo, tell me what you think and we will talk more later.

Hey! Thanks for going to my film blog. I go to the movies way too much...me and my friends were trying to find a movie to do see...and um...there wasn't one that we hadn't already seen. It's pretty sad actually. . .But yes. That's really awesome that u have an autograped Switchfoot poster!!! I have lots of autographs of bands my friends play in..but like, famous bands I have a Nintendo Fusion Tour shirt signed by The Sleeping and a pic with me and the bass guitarist of Plain White Ts...that would have to be my most prized possesion...but yes...this comment is long enough! TTYL!
