My room

Posted on Dec. 19, 2007 at 9:27 AM

Personally, I am tired of hearing all the celebrity divorce and remarriage stories. So I found it really cool when I read about Bono, and his wife.

Bono met the girl he would marry when he was 15. He married her when he was 22, and has been married to her for the last 25 years. Go Bono!

A) Four Places I go over and over:

1. My room

2. What, you want me to name other rooms in my house?

3. I have no friends or life…I am like at home ppl

4. school…before last tuesday

B) Four People who e-mail me: (regularly)

1. Luke

2. Jamie

3. Jon

4. Switchfoot

C) Four of my favorite foods:

1. Oreos

2. Cheese

3. Gyros

4. pizza

D) Four places I would rather be right now:

1. With Erin on a date anywhere

2. Ireland at a U2 concert

3. At the Iraq switchfoot show

4. At the white house chilling out

F) Four movies I would watch over and over:

Over and over? That would becrazy.

G) Four places I have lived:

1. chi-town suburb #1

2. chi-town sub #2

3. Kankakee suburb

4. under a rock

Ok, I did it with songs, here’s my top 2007 albums:

1.       Oh! Gravity., Switchfoot

Best SF CD yet. Has a full range of emotions, indie ingenuity in the music, and Jon Foreman’s unmatchable lyrics. Almost a perfect album. A+

2.       Minute To Midnight, Linkin Park

A close second I’ll admit. From beginning to end, the songs shock you with their crisp fresh rock sound and grab your soul with their emotion packed vocals and lyrics. A+

3.       Portable Sounds, TobyMac

One big party. Best Toby CD to date.  Has a lot of well placed guest spots, and the songs are just evil catchy. Could use a little clean up and two tracks cut, but it is Toby’s style to be a little goofy. A-

4.       An Ocean Between Us, As I Lay Dying

Death metal that is Christian, and the best in the genre. Grammy nominated, and busting ear drums, this CD is sure to scare or please. Lots of intensity and truly poetic lyrics. A+

5.       Five Score And Seven Years Ago, Relient K

This is a big departure from their old stuff, and some of the songs come off as just to mature. But you’ve got to hand it to them, this is a very well done CD with some amazing songs on it. “Must Have Done Something Right”, “Faking My Own Suicide”, and “Deathbed” are all truly great. A-

About the post below, yes politics do not interest me =O I don't know why, they just don't but your post got me thinking a little about how I ought to be more interested =)

I don't like hearing about the celebrity divorces either! To much drama!

NO WAY!! JON emails you regularly?! If I hold a big Woodstock type event for my next birthday, could you ask him to come?

I agree with you on choices #1, 3, &5.

Switchfoot e-mails you--whoa! I guess being a hardcore fan pays off in the long run lol. So would Jon be Jon Foreman then?

I'm so lazy. I can't even remember if I commented yesterday. So I'll do a Double-Trouble Comment! :D (Which basically means that I'm gonna mesh two comments in one).

Yesterday's post:
I try to stay as far away as I can from politics yet be as deep as I can. Yes, that doesn’t make much sense. Politics, to me, is a bloodbath fought in fancy clothes and cruel intentions hid by a fooling smile. The government, to me, is too far gone for anything to be right anymore. Granted if any of them had any common sense (which is another thing that is failing the human race) then maybe the government can be saved, but that won’t happen. It’ll never happen, like how there will be world peace. Everyone has different ideas, opinions, and religion for there to be world peace. It just isn’t possible. Just as it is impossible for the government to be, for lack of a better word, “un-corrupt”. I know, I’m not old enough to vote and don’t watch CNN and don’t really understand why everyone is hating Bush so much or get the whole religion thing, but from my point of view it’s pretty clear that nothing is going to change in the next decades except wars and protests. I have this whole theory on the government, but I’m not going to state it. I prefer to remain as neutral as possible yet be deep as I can. Kinda like a spy, I guess. But that's a small out take on the politic subject. Until if affects me, I could careless if congress blows a hole in the world. So long as it isn't near me or any bookstore in the vacinity...or music store.

Today's post:
I'm coming clean: I'm not a die-hard Switchfoot fan but I do love their song "Dare you to Move" and another song I can't remember. Linkin Parks great though. Like their new song...the name just went blank. It has something about the sun in it. Too bad I don't have their CD. Gonna wait till it's below ten dollars. ;D

Have a good day,
Bye-cha. Kayla.

ROFL @ "A", "2".
Do you ever combine 1-4 in "C"?

I'm so behind on Toby Mac. The kids saw him in concert recently and one is whining for Portable Sounds.

And yes! Go Bono! =D
