Volcanoes

Bethany decided last night at about 5 to try and make a volcano, normally this would be AWESOME, but, we had to leave at 6 and she didnt say anything just made it.  Overall though her thought process was to be commended.  I just didnt really get to that mindframe until this morning, when the last of the volcano mess was cleaned off the table and the dog.  Here is her Recipe which does NOT make a volcano.

Milk

Water

Vegetable Oil

Every spice I own and theres alot examples..  cumin, garlic, white pepper, thyme you get the idea

A whole bottle of bay leaves

1 egg

Sprinkles

All 4 colors of food coloring.

I will say though whatever she "made" smelled really really really bad and was BLACK BLACK BLACK in color. For those wondering where was I,   yes I was bad mom and was frantically typing the agenda for my meeting, at 9 though Im in the lulled spot of sometimes she can be "alone"(as in the next room with out me) and do great and sometimes  she cant haha.

Feel free to share any volcano recipes that do work, as thats what are planning for the weekend is.

Nov. 12, 2006 - Volcano...that works

Take a short glass and fill it with baking soda. Mold some sort of dough-playdough, clay, mud around it to give it the look of a volcano. Take a larger glass of vinegar and put some food coloring in it. Pour the colored vinegar into the baking soda. It will spew and hiss. Great fun.
