I live in a rural area...  Like really rural.  When I first moved here from Phoenix my aunt told my cousin to "watch out for tall corn"  I about died laughing, I had never heard something SOOO funny.  Now after being married to my husband for 10 yrs and living even more rural than my aunt ( who in reality just lives 20 minutes from me  youd just have to understand our neck of the woods, Im ONLY and hr and a half from downtown chicago) I understand it means you cant see going into unmarked intersections when the corn is up.  So im careful, but I tend not to be as careful at 4 way stops....  but today I had my Angel with me and he or she held me back just long enough that I wasnt all the way in the intersection when the semi hauling rocks blew his stop sign doing 50mph.  Thank you God!  Thank you angel. Thank you everyone who has taught me that you have to really really pay attention out here in the sticks!

Wow how scary! A lady at our church just this past Saturday pass away she was backing out of her driveway and was hit - she couldn't see what was coming over the corn. We country folk need to slow down!! I catch myself going pretty fast because I ASSUME I'm the only one out!
