Apr. 16, 2008 - Book Review: Katie and the Mona Lisa

Posted in Book Review

Katie and the Mona Lisa is an excellent book of adventure through some of the paintings from the Renaissance era.  Katie is trying to find the mystery behind Mona Lisa's smile and as they jump in and out of paintings, they learn (along with your child!) a little about each painting they explore. I think this is a wonderful introduction into the Renaissance era, artists, and paintings.

In the back of the book, it talks about the artists and a bit about each painting featured in the book. Definately a must read!
