Hello Everyone,
I have been wanting to post about this for a while, anyway, here it is. In July (I think) of 2007, our church went to Fairmont WV for a mission's trip to go and help families reconstruct or paint or do something to help them. Usually it is elderly people who can't do to much or it can be someone very young but who still need help. Our church was not the only group who went, there were a lot more, and we actually made friends with other people, especially one church, Christ church in GA. We got to scrape old paint off of the house we were working on, then we had to prime it then we painted, believe it or not, it took 1 whole week to do it. It was SOOOO much fun though because we were with friends (from church). On Wednesday, we got a half day off, so we got at the jobsite at 9:30 or so and worked till about 12 then we went back to camp and changed in swiming suits cause we were going to a Wave Pool. First we went to play our violins for some friends of one of the couples who went with us. The Husband had had a stroke about 11 years before, and he was in a wheelchair, and had a handicap , but he absolutely loved it when we played for him. That was a big blessing to be able to bless them. So after that, we went to the pool, and had a blast. Then we went out for mexican food for dinner, then out for ice cream. So that was my favorite day. Back at camp, there was a volleyball court, so we played pretty much every night and had a blast. We tried to play Ultimate Frisbee on this BIG hill, but that didn't work, out so well. So I wanted to share some of what we did up there, and here is some pictures. God Bless!!!!
Oh.....we have another one this year and my whole family is going.
