With the holiday shopping season right around the corner, fans of online auction sites are introduced to the new kid on the block - www.HomeschoolBuy.com. Calling All KY, TN, NC, SC, and MS Bloggers!
Posted in Just Something I Wanted To Share
|
Because this is such and unbelievable offer I wanted to tell all you KY, TN, NC, SC, and MS bloggers about what my sweet hubby's company has for you. Keep reading, I PROMISE you're going to be glad you did!
If you have high-speed internet you can now have your regular phone service through Seth’s company and the only thing you will pay is $25.00 per month, every month!! No taxes, no long-distance charges for all of the U.S. and Canada! $25 a month, that’s it! The reason he is now offering this service is because of how fed up we became with the telephone company we were forced to use (in fact, we haven’t heard one single person say that they actually like this particular company!). We were sick and tired of paying them so much just simply to have phone service and whenever we had to talk to an actual customer service person we were talked to like we were idiots! So we said, ‘Forget this’!
So now Seth is CEO and president of Intellichoice Voice over IP phone service, which simply uses your high-speed internet line for your regular phone line. The service is great, you can surf while on the phone, you can keep your same phone number (or change it if you’d like)... everything is just like the phone service you have now except it’s cheaper and you’ll have much better customer service! Plus you get all these really cool features (no extra charge)... much more than what most phone companies offer!
If this sounds like something you’d be interested in just let me know and I’d be more than happy to answer any questions you might have or go ahead and get you signed up! This is also available to small businesses as well (business lines are only $45/month) so if you know anyone who might be interested please pass the word. Seth is working with a car dealership here in town who will be saving $1000.00 per month on their phone bill!!! Now THAT’S what I call savings!
As if this wasn't enough to get you doing the happy dance, the best part for us stay-home homeschool moms is that if you know of anybody in KY, TN, NC, SC, or MS who would also like to take advantage of this you can earn extra money for each customer you refer and you'll get paid each month for as long as they remain an Intellichoice customer! We have moms, dads, grandmothers, college kids, and extended family doing this to make some extra income! I thought of all the one-income homeschool families I know of and asked Seth if I could offer this to them and he said absolutely! Hmmm... wonder if this applies to THIS stay-home homeschool mom too?

YIPPEE!!! Don't you just love great deals and opportunities like this?!

Long Time, No Blog!
Posted in Just Something I Wanted To Share

While I've not been around in blog-land for two weeks, I am still here. I'm just a year older now.
Yes, I have turned another year older since we last visited. I am now the big 3-1! I know, I know. 'You're such a baby' (read that with a whiney, nasaly voice). I get told that all the time. (Hmm... I must hang around a lot of old people .) But you know what? That's ok. I know there'll be a day when I won't hear that and wish I did.
I love having a fall birthday. October has to be one of my most favorite months of the year. It's so pretty with all the beautiful colors of the leaves, the crispness of the air, the cool mornings and evenings that make you build that first fire in the fireplace and snuggle up with a toasty blanket and warm cup of hot chocolate.
Ahhh... I love it! Hopefully we'll be taking our annual drive to a place called the Pinnacle where you can stand and look over 3 states at one time and the autumn leaves are simply breathtaking. I'll be sure to take lots of pictures so I can share them with you.
So how is your fall going so far?

Our 'Keepers At Home' Group
Posted in Just Something I Wanted To Share
|
(date and time is wrong on picture)
One thing you may not know about me is that I am in charge of a Keepers At Home group for the girls ages 8 and up at our church (we have a few 6-7 year olds too). This is something the Lord laid on my heart for over a year and I kept pushing it aside thinking that I already had too much on my plate as it is and this couldn't possibly be the Lord speaking to me. But, when I finally submitted to His will, I must say that there has been nothing but pure joy and love for these girls. I claim them as my own and love them with all my heart.
We started our Keepers group in January of this year and have grown to 17 members. Of course we want to teach them things they will need to know when they are old enough to actually be 'keepers at home', but for right now we are more concerned with building strong friendships between these girls so as they grow into their teen years they will hopefully remain close, which is when they will need each other the most.
So far we have worked on stamping, scrapbooking, fixing a healthy and fruity desert, visiting a nursing home, compassion (making cards for my co-leader when she was in the hospital), treating others the way you want to be treated, having a servant's heart, we had a missionary's wife come and talk to us, another mom told us all about living in Africa, the importance of reading our Bibles and being saved, we've had a sleepover, and taken two trips (one to see Disney Princess on Ice- since we are all daughters of the King thus making us all princesses and one to see Ringling Brothers circus). We are currently working on our second fundraiser to take our final trip of the year... an overnight trip to Pigeon Forge, TN to stay in a cabin and go to the Knoxville Zoo!
I can't believe I tried to push this out of my heart for so long! If you feel God leading you to do something, please don't put it off. There is such blessings in doing what He wants you to do! And if you haven't checked out the Keepers of The Faith company, you really should do so. They have some wonderful things, including a Contenders For The Faith group for young boys just like our Keepers group (which I am praying will get started for our boys at church).

Hate Today's Swimsuits?
Posted in Just Something I Wanted To Share
|
I know it's nearly the end of summer, but I received an email the other day about the Hopkin's families SwimModest swim suits and I thought I would pass the info along to all you fellow homeschool moms who, if you're like me, would love to find something a little more modest for both you and your daughters (they even have things for boys) for those long, hot summer days filled with swimming and trips to the beach.
I heard about these suits a few years ago from the gals over on the FIAR boards but had forgotten about them until receiving this email. If you have or have had one of these suits let us know what you think of them!
