Pictures of Hurricane Damage from Harold and Matthew's Trip to Laurel, MS this weekend...
Pictures from the Trip...
Local Damage in Laurel, MS...

Local streets are filled with trees, power lines, damaged cars, and debri. Passing by on this road...this was what you see on the other side of the road. Many streets are impassible...all streets in town are like this at minimum.

Many of these homes are owned by elderly with no help. We are wanting to get in and help those first along with any others in major need.

Thousands of homes have damage and huge trees through them causing massive damage. There are no tarps available to secure the homes. We plan to carry in tarps and help to secure as many homes as possible, in addition to carrying in water, food, and other essentials.

This couple lost BOTH of their ONLY vehicles, not counting damage to their home

Power Lines are Twisted and EVERYWHERE!
You can probably see why the power may be a month before being restored!

Some of the refuges staying in Harold's Dad's rental houses--
This family that rents from Mr. Rushton is housing 9 refuges and has been out of work since the hurricane. Harold took in some goodies for them. We are planning to take in some more groceries and try to minister to them spiritually on this next trip Wednesday. Really great guys! Makes our hearts break!

Some of Harold's Father's Rental Houses...
Harold helped his dad this weekend to secure everything until much later when we can get in to help him with repairs. Right now the greatest need is food and helping to secure the property until work can be done. The group going in this week will help with that in town--where there is unbelievable damage.

Total Loss of City Salvage's new building
(Harold's friend, Larry Lofton owns this lumber/building supply store
Larry is a member of Magnolia Street Baptist Church, the church we will be operating from.)

Local Gas Lines (WITH NO GAS in town!!! ????)
If you are going into town anywhere down there, you will need to carry in your own gas, enough to get IN there and to get back out. Gas was out for 200 miles outside of Laurel up I-59 last weekend.
