One Homeschool Family at a Time... REAL HELP!

A Note into Our Offices...

Hi Cindy,

We are a homeschool family in California – in the San Francisco Bay Area.  I have been so moved by your emails & blogs.  For us - so far away - it has been incredible to have this insight you have provided us of the grassroots efforts being made, and the ministry taking place.

We have donated $ to the Salvation Army and World Vision.  But my oldest girls wanted to send tangible things – and we want to send them to you.  We loved the MOPS idea of the boxes for kids!  We are sending 10.  We used the MOPS list, and added bible activity books, tracts, stickers, and scripture candy to the list!

We are also sending some children’s books (I tried to keep them small, they are heavy!), games, puzzles, activity books, and small toys.  Some gently used, some brand new.  I read that a gal is sending you totes.  I’m hoping some of the things we send can be used in these totes.  Use what we send however you see fit.  We are including some children’s videos – maybe there is a shelter or church that has the ability to play these for groups of children?

I am hoping to pack up the boxes and get them sent out tomorrow.  Thank you for allowing us to help in this small way.  Our prayers are with you.

My Note Back...

Hi!

 

Carri, thanks! This is AWESOME! I am SOooo excited! This is EXACTLY what we need when we go down. It will minister to the hearts of these precious little children SOOO much!

 

My mother-in-law was such a comfort as we left the last time. I told her that it was the hardest thing that I have ever had to do to just get in the truck and come home. There were sooo many needs, yet we had only barely touched the edges of the needs. She reminded me that they were still in shock and would need me back with everything I had when we came back. That comfort made it possible to get in the truck to leave.

 

As we have prayed and sought God for HIS FOCUS on the next trip, he is amazing us! This is EXACTLY what we need! We need kits like this to bless them and then sharing Jesus will be EASY!

Thanks for your sacrifice! It is precious in my eyes. I cannot imagine what a precious aroma it is in God's eyes today! Oh! That you are loving these that are on His heart so heavily today! THANKS!

Want to help?  We are gearing up for another Mission Trip on October 7-10

into South MS.

On this trip, we plan to carry in bags of goodies. It will help us to use every second we have on the streets if everything is packaged and ready to go. On the last trip, we spent the first day just dividing out what we had. Then, we had to re-package it. This time, we are working hard to have everything in kits that are ready to pass out.
