Hey Everyone! Good Morning!!!
Good Morning!
Has your Monday Morning been super? No, my house is NOT clean...and school work is not done! In fact, the bird is in his cage laughing and throwing his food on the floor--more mess! hehe! Today is a super day!
My guys have gone to install a playground today. They are gearing up for another trip to South MS. They will be gone this week, so I hope to get a lot of my writing done-especially with no competition for the computer! WOoohooo!
I just checked the Frapper Map for a BIG treat! Take a peek to see where some of you are FROM! AND...while you are there, log in and say hi!
It was such a treat to scroll through and remember so many of you who have been there through the years! I think that I am going to use the Frapper Map as a prayer list too. As I go through seeing all of your names and where you are from, I will make a point to lift you up in prayer--isn't that just another AWESOME thing about technology???? HOOT!
This past weekend went by VERY fast! We were hoping to have all Friday afternoon to help set up the Adoption Fair, but as Harold and I were pulling out of the parking lot from a quick lunch, the GAS PEDDLE just BROKE! For real! I have never seen anything like it! It was just barely tacked on there with a tiny weld--sure shows how much we place faith in things that we WOULDN'T if we just KNEW! It takes little things like that to really get my attention about how little I place my faith in God when I KNOW that He goes ALL OUT for us! Yep, I was convicted...used that "down-time" (4 HOURS!!!!) to just pray and thank God for all of those little things that I tend to take for granted!
When we finally got to church to help, we all pitched in fast to help a bit. I was amazed at how much everyone else had gotten done. Melissa and Lori did a MARVELOUS job! There was not one stone unturned!
Saturday was AMAZING to behold! Everyone was so excited to be a part of helping such an incredible cause. I know that not all of us can adopt, but we CAN all help those who are called to adopt children. We can be a part of rescuing those who are fatherless! It just fires me up to be even a tiny part of something so spectacular!
I talked Melissa last night. They are bringing in Clay Cross in January (I believe) for a concert to benefit our church's adoption ministry. Now, we will be counting days!
Talking about counting days!
This weekend is the Mother-Daughter Quilt Camp! Wooohooo! What could be more fun than a great girl time??? Imagine now the buzzing of sewing machines...old movies...LOTS of chocolate...girl-talk--ALL NIGHT LONG for THREE DAYS!!!...learning new quilting techniques...late night tea and gabbing...chick-flicks with your teens...AND...come home with a NEW quilt???? I am so excited! Elisabeth and I are ready to have a fun girl-time! I just love the simple things of womanhood! AND...this weekend will have a bit of it ALL!
Just imagine! Right after the weekend we have even MORE fun planned! Next week is our Mom-to-Mom time! This month will be a blast! I don't know how many of you are hopelessly fired up with the holiday season, but I LOVE this time of year! Sooooo, this month at Mom-to-Mom the holidays will be our focus for our topics. Lucia is planning a devotional on Thanksgiving. I am planning the Hands-on Workshop on Let's Make a Memory. In my workshop, I will share some quick how-to's for making easy candy...packaging gifts...making gifts on a shoe-string budget...and keeping everything Christ-Centered! I CANNOT wait! I am excited to work on everything a bit this week while the guys are out of town. I figure that they will really enjoy coming home to some homemade cookies and candies after their long trip! :)
Well, beloved friends. I have a million more things I would love to share...but I need to wrap up my time online in a bit and feed my sweet daughter! She and I are going to have a girl-time this afternoon after we get our chores and work done! Wooohooo!
Have a super day!
Love ya lots!! Cindy
