A Note from Elisabeth...On Purity!

HELLO My Friends!

How are all of you doing? I am very well!  lol!

I have been thinking about all of you and how hard the fight for purity is getting now days so I thought I would write down some Bible verses for you to read and pray about and try to share a few words of encouragement!   Here goes!!LOL!

1 Corinthians 6: 9-20...

(V-9) Did you know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders

(V-10) Nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor the slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.

(V-11) And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
(V-12) "Everything is permissible for me"------but not everything is beneficial. "Everything is permissible for me"---but I will not be mastered by anything.

(V-13) "Food for the stomach and the stomach for the food" But God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for sexual immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.

(V-14) By His power God raised  the Lord from the dead, and He will raise us also.

(V-15) Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ Himself? Shall I then take the members of Christ and unite them with a prostitute? NEVER! 

(V-16) Do you know  that he who unites himself with a prostitute  is one with her in body?? For it is said "the two become one flesh."

(V-17) But he who unites himself with the Lord is one with him in spirit,
(V-18) Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside of his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.

(V-19) Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, Who is in you, Whom you have received from God? You are not your own.
(V-20) You were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body."
 

So this whole passage has been about not sinning against our bodies and the Lord by doing sexual acts against ourselves before marriage ((OR))  outside of marriage!

God hates how our society makes sex seem like "you have to or you're a reject." Actually God sees it the other way around.

When you withstand the temptations the world throws your way, God will bless you. I am so displeased at how our world today make girls/young women out to be "sexy," "sexual," and just plain NASTY! Gahhh!

Girls are very dishonored this day and time... And it saddens God!

He created us to be full of integrity and honor and beauty. Sexual things before marriage causes people to feel ugly and depressed. God wants so much more for us! His perfect plan is a person who withstands temptations and keeps her body and mind pure through His strength and power.

God wants the very best for us. His perfect plan is for us to trust Him completely and to stay pure and wait for that "perfect" person that we will marry! 

Purity means everything! God will bless us so abundently for staying completely pure--in heart, mind and body! 

Although the world today tells us to give in, give up, and "have a little fun" before we settle down, hold on tight to what God has planned for you! HOLD ON TO YOUR PURITY!

If you start to go through a tough time, fast, pray, and ask God to block all of the temptations! At that time, focus your prayers on your future. Pray for your future marriage and your future spouse. More than likely they are also going through the same things. Go to God regularly on their behalf.  He loves us so much that He will step in at any time to help us through those temptations that we may face along the way!

I am so proud of you!  And God is even more proud of you! Stay strong in His Holy Spirit, and  He will help you! His Son ((Jesus)) died on the cross so that we can live in peace! We are free in His name to withstand any and all temptations that come our way!

If you have already given in to the temptation. Great news! There is forgiveness!  In the Bible, John 8:1-11 talks about the women who was caught in the act of adultery. Instead of God judging her or throwing stones ((Ugly comments)) at her, HE forgave her and He loved her. The same for you if you haven't kept your purity!  I have met so many people who love God and God loves them that have made very big mistakes in their walk of purity! But the awesome thing is God is willing to forgive all of us for every sin!

Also, I would like to talk about something most people don't talk about in purity articles. Abuse. 1 in 4 girls is sexually abused and 1 in 6 guys is abused ((sexually))... THAT IS SAD! It breaks my heart. 

But, guess what. God still sees them (( you)) as pure! You may not have your physical purity but in God's eyes you are beautiful and pure! He loves you and is so sympathetic towards you!

I have two friends who have been abused sexually and one thinks it is God's fault. But darling. It is not. It is satan's fault. and he is out for all of our hearts.

The Bible says, "the enemy ((satan)) is out to kill, steal, and destroy." Darling, this is all of us. He wants our hearts, our bodies, and our minds so that we can't ever get over the pain and defeat the past. He attacks all of us with this intention. For you, this is his attack for your heart, body, and mind. He wants you as his own. Even more, God wants you as His own. He sent Jesus to give us the opportunity for abundant life, "I came that they may have life and have it abundantly." (John 10: 10).

If you are a victim of abuse, it is absolutely essential that you go to SOMEONE for help right now. You may think that no one cares. You may think that no one wants to know or will listen. You may feel so disgusted and ashamed that you are afraid to tell anyone. Dear friend, go to someone right now. Do you know someone that you can trust? Your mom? Your dad? Another adult? Your pastor? A good friend? The enemy will tell you many lies to keep you from getting help. This is because he can keep you in his grip as long as you believe his lies.

Go to someone today. You may need to ask someone to go with you to get help. Your friends can help you here. Many times they do not know what to do with situations like this. Just tell your friend that you need them to be by your side while you tell someone. If those that you tell have no idea what to do, ask them to help you find someone who can really help you. Always remember I am praying for all of you, no matter if I have met you or not! I always pray for my fellow teens in their walk of purity! I love you all so much. Only your momma and Jesus can love you more than me!!!LOL!
