Pioneer Camp is really going to be great!!! Please send this awesome update to all your friends!!!!
You maybe wondering, what is different about this camp from other places you may go and see people doing these crafts, right? The BIG difference is: the students actually get to work, hands-on with the projects and they actually get to take their work home with them.
This is the tentative schedule as it's developing!!!
Friday, November 25th
9:00 Registration in Kitchen
9:30 Opening announcements:
You will meet the crafter's and have an introduction to Sam Dale. Who is Sam Dale? Sam Dale was an awesome pioneer!!!! He was as important to the development of Alabama and United States, as Daniel Boone and Davy Crocket. He is just one of those awesome men that has been left out of many of the history books. But you will meet his legend and never forget him!!!

Directions:
If you are coming in from North, South or East of Killen (the area we lives in) the best thing to do is locate on your map Athens, Al. Highway 72 crosses Interstate 65 in Athens, AL. 72 is the main Athens exit. Travel west on highway 72 about 40-45 minutes. You will go through Rogerville and past Joe Wheeler State Park and cross through highway 101 at Elgin. After you cross highway 101 you will travel about 4 miles and began to watch for County Road 33 to the left. County road 33 is beside North Alabama Fleamarket. You will make a left on to 33 and travel about 1 mile and make a left into County Road 111 follow this a little over a mile to 1812 County Road, Yellow House, this should be a little over a mile.
