How was YOUR Christmas???

4:11 PM, Dec. 30, 2005 .. Posted in Our Photos .. Link

Hey there dearies!

Well, I am back online--not back to "official" work until Monday! I am jelling at the local coffee shop with a nice mocha and HIGH SPEED internet! Woohooo!

How was your Christmas? We had a blast for our Christmas!

Our first few weeks of the month were busy, busy, busy. We worked very hard to get all of the orders processed and shipped (the holidays mark a busy, hectic time for the business). We mixed work with the usual crazy calendar for the holidays--parties, dinners, and special presentations. I have to admit that I am THRILLED to be settling in for a much quieter month coming up!  Here are some pictures from the first few weeks of December and all that we had going on:

Elisabeth and Cindy up WAY TOO EARLY for events!!

Matthew and Cindy...you can tell he is thrilled when

Elisabeth sets our calendar! ha!

Elisabeth ballroom dancing at the nursing home!

(she is in pink with her partner, Alex Masterson)

Her ballroom dancing class performed for the nursing home residents AND...

They went to the Shoals Area Christmas Ball!

Here are the kids:

Elisabeth ready for the ball...

Matthew, the chaperone, who would rather wash the dog than go on THIS detail!

Well, until he got there with friends!

They had a blast!

Also...

Elisabeth was busy with the church choir and their programs.

Here they are in the mall:

And...here they are for the AWESOME Church Program! INCREDIBLE!

Lots of fun making and giving gifts. NOT so much fun shopping in town--was it just me or did they turn ALL the irritable and rude people loose in our stores this year????

We cooked all of the usual goodies--tons of them! The kids dipped EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING...well, but the dog.... in chocolate! (they made chocolate candies almost every day during advent!)

One of my favorite projects was the Gingerbread Houses that we made with Melissa Carter. They were a blast! Here are some quick pics from that fun time:

Elisabeth and Melissa

Elisabeth and her little helpers!

Cindy...with details!!!

Elisabeth all FINISHED with her Gingerbread Bakery!

My Gingerbread Vegetable Market...FINISHED!

We were blessed to get to take a quick trip to MS to spend Christmas with Harold's parents. More pics on that later--when the family is not hungry! (GRIN)

AND...MY favorite picture from the season! Naptime!

Isn't Pooh SOOOO adorable as she watches her "Daddy" take a holiday nap? I thought she was sooo cute that I HAD to load it on this page! ha!

Well, must get running! I will post more later!

Love,

Cindy

Yep! I am completely partial!  They are on their way to the Christmas Ball! Uh...Harold and I get a date too! Cracker Barrel, HERE WE COME! hehe!

Elisabeth (who is TOTALLY ecstatic to be able to use those ballroom dancing lessons that we have paid for all year! OH! And...even MORE excited to wear a real live formal!)

Matthew (Official Chaperone..who would rather

spend the evening washing the dog! ha!)

Just a Little Fun! Pictures of Elisabeth...

Oh! These you will LOVE!

Elisabeth and I are partners/accountability for one another for working out at Curves. Well, uh...and for getting into T-R-O-U-B-L-E! Hehe!

Speaking of trouble...we were wrapping up our errands and heading toward Curves when we were tempted BEYOND what we could withstand...yep, at KRISPY KREME! hehe!

OH! We had a blast! Well...they say that a picture is worth a thousand words...Here is a picture of Elisabeth with a Krispy Kreme hat heading into Curves:

Woohoo! What a accountability partner!!!!

Did I ever mention how FUN it is to have TEENS???

Our Past Few Weeks! With PICTURES!!!

11:28 AM, Jul. 23, 2005 .. Posted in Our Photos .. Link

Hey Everyone!

I have SOOoooo missed having time online that was more than a second at a time. We have been out of town with my hubby's business. He and Matthew install commercial playgrounds for different schools, parks, churches, etc. Here are some pics from the past three...

Here is how it all arrives...

Everything comes shipped in on huge crates. In this picture, Harold is unloading the trailer with his bobcat. (I am holding my breath behind the camera!!!!)

They work hard setting up as fast as they can. Here are some finish pictures of the playground in Mobile:

This playground was in Mobile at St. Paul's School. Here is another angle (each angle includes lots of other pieces that have neat areas for the children to play on).

I LOVE those cute lilly pad steps! SHOULDA got my picture there... Well, more of those in a bit! Here is the "back side" in this next pic...

Here are a couple of pics of US. We LOVE playing with the camera...

Matthew taking time to smile...

Elisabeth working hard!

Hummm...how does she look SO PRETTY just pulling her hair down??? (wish I could sweat so beautifully????!!!)

Wondering where *I* am?? Well, I was blessed to get to take an afternoon away with Lori Seaborg. We went to Barnes and Nobles for a coffee break and time mom-to-mom. It was one of my greatest treats! Here we are back at the site:

I was not the only one having fun. At night, we tried to sample some of the great food and fun in the Mobile area. Here are a few pics...

Ohhh...BE CAREFUL your picture JUST MIGHT be posted on the internet! hehe!

Oh! Even Field Trips!

Yep! Kids (and our homeschooled puppy!) who are ANCHORED in truth! hehe!

We were blessed BEYOND WORDS to be able to spend Sunday afternoon with Tim and Lori Seaborg and their adorable children. Here are just a few pics from our afternoon...

First of all, Lori and Tim invited us to their home for HOMEMADE PIZZA! We all had a TOTAL blast watching them work together as a family making the best pizza EVER!  They are real pros!

Watch Tim! AMAZING!

Lori and Tim have posted their WONDERFUL Pizza Crust Recipe on Lori's Blog! Sunday, they made homemade Pepperoni Pizzas AND one of my FAVORITE pizzas, Chicken and Spinach Alfredo!!! Sorry...I helped them eat it ALL!

Belle stole our hearts! She and I bonded...then, she bonded with my family! Isn't she ADORABLE? Here she is helping her daddy...

(I LOVE COOKING WITH LITTLE ONES!)

I also got this snapshot of Belle with my crew! Doesn't she match great? Humm...we could just name her and claim her! hehe!

After everyone got ready, we set off on a trek through the gorgeous city of Fairhope, Alabama. If I ever write fiction, I will HAVE to live there to do so! It is simply gorgeous. Quaint, like so many cute towns in Alabama, but everything there is simply gorgeous!  Take a peek at our little journey with the Seaborg crew:

Harold and Matthew at Punta Gorda Kitchen! OHhhh! Candy HEAVEN!

Books and Coffee ANYONE???

Ahhh...Great ADULT CHAT! And...the boys! And...the girls! FUN!

Ohhh! How SWEET! Elisabeth reading to Belle!

Elisabeth and Brittany...ready for a cup of tea (or java??)???

Oh! And isn't this FUN? All of the kiddos!

Matthew and Elisabeth with Brenden, Brittany, Stone, and Belle...

After Mobile, we installed a playground at the Poarch Creek Indian Reservation. It is WONDERFUL! I am so excited for the children there. They were asking all week excitedly WHEN they could play! I love it!

Here are the pics from that playground...

See the swings in the background? They installed those too!

Here is another angle... (aren't they cute???)

Here is the backside...

The Montgomery set was the first one to be put in during our trip. It is an example of their exercise set. Neat!

This picture was before borders and surfacing was added. It has to have 12 inches of chips added for safety. (looks funny without the surfacing!).

Harold also built a cute little sandbox for this group. I forgot to take pictures--OOPS! This playground will look much different when the surfacing is added. Of course, we love the full systems above the best!

And...ME...the one taking ALMOST ALL of the pictures!

Hope you enjoyed YOUR TRIP through cyberspace into our last few weeks in South Alabama!

Love, Cindy
