Let's Play 20 Questions...

12:28 AM, May. 18, 2006 .. Posted in Questions and Answers .. Link

Hey there!

WOW! I have gotten some of the NEATEST emails from those who have ordered Steve Beck's NEW Sites that Sell!  I am SO excited to see what God is going to do for each of the families! Soooo fun!

Well, I will make this short and sweet! Steve has only a few days left that his set will be available. He took time to answer some quick questions. If you are wanting to know what the BUZZ is and what I am SO excited about (other than the fact that I got an email today that MY SET is on its way!), check this out....

Love,
Cindy

Hi,

This is Stephen Beck with Secrets to Building Sites that Sell.

Since not every one could attend my Q&A call, I wanted to
highlight some of the questions here:

==> What exactly does your course teach?

Secrets to Building Sites that Sell teaches you how to do every
step necessary to make a profitable web site on the Internet.

The video tutorials show you how to do all the techie stuff like
getting web hosting, building a web page, adding a header, adding
sound, setting up a shopping cart and so on.

The audio CD's teach you how to put a plan together...how to
research a niche and find products...how to build a community of
customers for your web site.

==> What about other courses out there?

Other courses say stuff like, "okay, put this on your page, and
then uh, optimize it for that, then well, add an affiliate link"
without giving you any details of HOW to do all that!

We show you mouse click by mouse click on a screen capture video
how to do EVERY STEP. It is like me taking you by the hand and
showing you step by step what to do.

==> Will your course help me figure out what to sell on the
Internet?

Yes. The course has videos, audios and an interactive tool to
help you determine what topic to choose, what to sell and how
best to set up your web site for attracting customers.

==> Does your course give me the big picture?

Yes. We intentionally designed the course to be MORE than a "how
to" for the techie stuff (although it does that VERY WELL!). It
will also teach you how to SEE all the pieces and how they fit
together...which concepts are essential and which can be added
later. AND why you don't have to have award-winning graphics to
make a lot of money on your web site!

==> How much time should be invested daily to get through the
course and start a business?

If you invest 2 golden hours each day for 5 days a week (one
before you go to work and one after the kids go to bed), you
should get through the materials and have a profitable web site
within 6-8 weeks.

How profitable depends on how hard you work and if you
follow my advice when choosing a niche and products for that
niche.

==> Will your course help me generate niche ideas?

Yes. The course will help you generate business ideas and niches
to build your web site around. It will also help you determine if
a topic or niche will be profitable or not.

==> Is your course something that teens and young adults can
understand and profit from?

Teens usually pick up this stuff faster than adults do. Their
biggest challenge is sticking with it...that is why God gave them
parents :-)

My daughter has a reloading web site that is really starting pay
dividends...she has sold $400 worth of reloading supplies in the
last 2 days.

So, yes. Teens and older children can do this. With supervision,
an 11-year old should be able to build a profitable web site.

==> What else will I have to buy besides your course?

The course teaches you how to do EVERYTHING using free
downloadable software from the Internet. so you do not have to go
out and spend thousands of dollars on software to get your online
business up and running.

Your only expense should be a $50 per year web hosting account
and a $15 per year domain name registration.

==> How will I know this will work?

The course will teach you how to find a niche, determine if it is
profitable, select products for that niche, build a web site
around that niche, upload it to the Internet, add pizzazz to your
web site and draw visitors to your web site.

It will also teach you how to set up a shopping cart, accept
payments and keep in touch with your customers.

If you follow my steps, you will have a profitable web site.

==> Can I really do this even if I am not very good with
computers?

If you can highlight with your mouse and cut & paste, you can do
this.

==> Why are you pulling this course off the market on Sunday?

After Sunday, I will travel to Montana, Texas and California for
speaking engagements. I will also start our Mentor and Mastermind
Group in June. AND I have to read 7500 pages of seminary books by
the end of August! (some of them are in Greek!)

I want to get this course into the hands of as many people as
possible and then concentrate on my seminary reading!

==> How much does the course cost?

$397

==> Why so cheap? There must be something wrong with it.

I know there are other courses out there that promise MORE and
deliver LESS...and charge $800, $1000, even $2000!

This course takes you through ALL of the steps of starting an
online business. A business the whole family can be involved in.
A business that will give you back the price of the course MANY
MANY
times over.

I want as many people as possible to have this course because
quite frankly, it is time Christians started determining for
themselves, how they will spend their time and live their lives.

I could TALK till I'm blue in the face about taking control over
your life, or I could SHOW you...through a course that teaches
you a way to gain the freedom you are looking for.

I prefer to SHOW than TELL!

==> Are you trustworthy?

Well, my wife thinks so! Seriously, if the course does not meet
the expectations I have laid out in the web site below, just
return it within 30 days for a complete refund (less shipping).
No harm done. No hard feelings. And we still part friends.

==> What is the Mentor and Mastermind Group?

It is a 5 week intense coaching class with me. It includes weekly
assignments, a weekly call, unlimited email support and a 1 hour
personal consultation with me. It also includes custom niche
selection and custom web site critiques.

The Mentor and Mastermind Group will begin the week of June 16.
It is for those who want to make the most of the course in as
little time as possible.

==> Do we have to sign up for the Mentor and Mastermind Group if
we only want to buy the course?

No. you can purchase the course without the coaching.

==> Why are you so excited about an online business?

There is no other opportunity that gives families the chance to
make more income with so little downside. It is by far, the
fastest, cheapest and easiest way for a family with no business
experience to begin creating a sizable monthly income.

There is no other opportunity that promises such FREEDOM for
anyone who is willing to put forth a little effort. All it takes
is the right information...the information found in my course.

Questions and Answers...Book, Ebook, CD-book???

5:06 PM, Apr. 29, 2006 .. Posted in Questions and Answers .. Link

Question:

Cindy,

I have a quick question for ya!

I want to order the alphabet notebook to do with my youngest.

What shall I order? The book, the cd printables, the packet? What is the packet?

Thanks!
Alycia

Answer:

HI!

Thanks for your email. The book comes in several formats--Ebook, Book on CD, and book in a printed packet. Here is how I suggest choosing:

If you want it fast, definitely Ebook! :) It arrives by email within 24 hours--usually 8. You are ready to print immediately.

I love these resources on the computer the best because you can print what you need as you need it. For this reason, I suggest the E-book or book on CD.

If you prefer your books to copy, the printed packets are ready to use or photo-copy. :)

Make sense or clear as mud? ha!

Thanks again for your email! Just let me know if I can help any more!

Love,
Cindy

Questions...About Notebooking Book Versions...

8:28 AM, Apr. 29, 2006 .. Posted in Questions and Answers .. Link

Good Morning Mommy Pals!!

We have a bunch of questions with our sale. I am going to post some answers here JUST IN CASE others of you have questions...OR just in case you just NEED this information! ha!

Question:

Notebooking! Yes! You CAN Be A Binder Queen by Cindy Rushton (Old Version, this title was newly updated this year; these are the last of our stock--comb-bound book; regular retail--$20.00)…$15.00

Notebooking! Yes! You CAN Be A Binder Queen by Cindy Rushton (NEW Version--comb-bound book; regular retail--$30.00)…$24.00

Notebooking! Yes! You CAN Be A Binder Queen Workshop Syllabus by Cindy Rushton

(Old version—was purchased separate from the book in the previous format of the book, now included in the new book—clearance sale!)
CD Printables: Regular Retail $19.95…$7.50
Packet: Regular Retail $19.95…$12.00

Notebook Version: Regular Retail: $30.00…$20.00

Could you explain the difference between all of these? If I have the old version, do I need the CD for the printables? What is the packet? Please help! I'm trying to decide what to order!!  Thank you for your time.

Sonia

Answer:
Hi!

Thanks for your email.

The Notebooking book has been updated and expanded. It was totally revamped. It is now twice the size of the original format. The Companion CD is loaded with printable pages for their notebooks, samples of children's notebook pages (in full color), and other supplementary articles. The first version of the Companion CD was the Workshop Syllabus below. We have take the confusion out of the various titles by adding the Companion CD (Workshop Syllabus) to the new book. We still have some copies of the old book and the old manual. Of course, since you have the old version of the book, you can actually buy the new book and CD for a better price on our website--we have a special for previous owners--check out the webpage here:

 http://www.cindyrushton.com/Notebooking.html.

On that page, you get the E-book, cd, and several online audios for $10.00. You can order there using the links.

If you need any other help, just let me know!

Have a wonderful day!

With much love,
Cindy

Questions and Answers: Ebooks Or Printed Books????

1:33 PM, Apr. 24, 2006 .. Posted in Questions and Answers .. Link

Question:

Cindy,

What do you recommend?  I’m really interested in your book on being a Binder Queen but I’m not sure if I should get the ebook or the hardcopy.  I love working on the computer but I’m not sure I want to ‘read a book’ on the computer.  Also, is there extra material with the ebook that I’d miss with the hardcopy?

Sherri

Answer:

Hi!

Thanks! I am happy to help. Great question!

I love ebooks. I got hooked on them for my own personal books--I love getting them instantly! ;-)    Plus, I love having them in my laptop as I need them. I carry my laptop everywhere!

On this ebook, it has everything the printed version has, PLUS, you get several free audios with it. They really help if you enjoy listening in for other ideas. You can either view online or you can also print it out and place in a notebook of your own. One other big perk is that it is in full color, so you can see everything in the illustrations even better. I love that! There are printable notebook pages in both versions. Those are great for printing out as you need them--we used the pages that way in our home, so that is how we first came up with the idea to produce them for other moms in that format.

If you need more help with anything, just let me know. I am always happy to help!

Have a wonderful day!

With much love,
Cindy

PS! Here is the link to our sale--the ebooks are ALL half off for the rest of this week!

From the Mailbag: Special Needs

10:47 AM, Apr. 17, 2006 .. Posted in Questions and Answers .. Link

Letter from Cathy...

Hi,

I just wanted to tell you how much I love your web site, and I love your new workshops they are great. I am just looking at homeschooling our special needs child. It is a hard choice to make but you encourage me. Thanks.

Letter from Cindy...

Hi!

Thanks so much for your email. I pray that you will have great success teaching your child. Homeschooling is perfect for children with special needs because you can go their pace and minister directly to their needs. You will do great! I truly believe that the very best teachers for children are their own parents. God gifts parents with a special ability to get to know and understand their children in a way that no one else can ever experience.

I will be praying with you for your decision. Just keep me updated. I would love to know how things go for you!

If it helps you any, I believe that every parent has to deal with some point on the journey that their children have very deep needs. The "schools" probably would have labeled my children just the same as so many others. I just believe that every student has special needs--they do too! :-(   It is how we respond to that information that makes a very big difference.

I love what one of my dear friends, Joyce Herzog, recommends for special needs students. I think this is what makes a very big difference in their lives. She recommends that we focus on what they are REALLY good at--those things that they are successful doing/learning. Let that have the primary emphasis rather than their weaknesses. If you think about it, that is exactly what God does in our lives. He works on the weaknesses along they way, but those are not His emphasis. Joyce tells story after story of students who went far because the focus changed from what they could not do to what they did well. Perhaps this will help you too. It has really helped me through some rough times teaching my children. Some of those times were merely times that they needed to physically or mentally or even spiritually mature a bit before they could get better at an area of need. By having our focus elsewhere, it made the whole situation better.

Well, must get running! I am so glad that you found us. I pray that you will be able to discern God's will for you in this big decision. If we can help you in any way, just let me know!

With much love,
Cindy

Question/Answer...What Is An Ebook???

8:15 AM, Apr. 14, 2006 .. Posted in Questions and Answers .. Link

Question...

Hi, Cindy,

My name is Sandy Gercke. I'm a hsing mom in Phoenix. I feel like a dummy asking, but I'll ask anyway.

What is an ebook? If I buy one, how does it work? I have a computer (Intel Mac) with internet access. Obviously, I'm not a computer genius!

I'm a Time4Tea subscriber, but I feel as if I'm missing a lot w/o ebooks!

Thanks so much for your encouragement.

Are you coming to AZ convention in July? I was just in beautiful, green Alabama, as my ds lives in Meridian, MS!

Blessings,
Sandy

Answer...

Hi!

Thanks so much for your email. Wonderful question! :-)

An Ebook is a downloadable, digital copy of a regular book. You can click on the links for them and the book will open up on your computer. Depending on the publisher, you can print, view, or download into your computer. We have ours set up so you can just leave them on our website to view...or you can download into your computer and save on CD...or you can print what you need. It is a WONDERFUL technology! If you are like me, you will get hooked!

All you would need is ADOBE READER (a free program) which opens up our ebook files. You can try a sample ebook here on our website:

http://www.cindyrushton.com/FreeEbook.html

We have been setting up all of our printed books in Ebook format. We include everything (plus some!) that you get with our printed books--covers, printable planning pages (if the book has any), etc. The big PERKS are that you get them super fast (usually within 8 hours)...plus, they are in FULL COLOR!  It is so much fun! I have gotten hooked! I buy all of my online books by Ebook format now. You can print them out and keep them in notebooks or just access and read them on the computer--or in our case, you can just read them on our website and never have to download anything.

Here is a list of our Ebooks (they are on sale for HALF OFF with our SPRING SALE this month):

This year is totally packed out. Maybe we will cross paths in the future! :-)      Let your convention planners know that you want us! That is how we get on the books for events. We are already booking up for 2007. Both Matthew and I speak...our whole family is on hand for the events. We love that time to SEE all of you!

I am originally from Laurel, MS. We travel through Meridian all the time. We were just through that area a few weeks back. It is beginning to look a lot better in that area after the Hurricane. I am praying that the rest of South MS will be much better soon.

Question and Answers: Courtship

11:40 AM, Mar. 25, 2006 .. Posted in Questions and Answers .. Link

Question:

Hi!   Cindy, When is your son's speech in Charlotte?  I had talked to  you about having him come to our small church in Asheville, but all the hurricanes came and you guys were really busy helping out from what I read on your web site.  My 13 year old has a friend who wants to court her.  So I really want her to go to this Seminar?  And my son too. Thanks, Gail

Answer:

Hi!

Thanks for your email. We did not get that date together before my schedule filled up. One thing that we are doing since our schedule is packed out is that we are offering online workshops for free. If you would like to jot down some questions, we can record a special session answering your questions and upload it online for you.  We would love to do this since we understand that the needs are pressing. :)

Just let me know what you would like for us to cover. :)

With much love,
Cindy

Questions and Answers: About the Ebooks....

time to read your material I think this is so hitting the spot.    We are so looking forward to spring but yet looking for the joy in each day so what I glanced at while printing out some pages from A Godly Home look refreshing.

It is now almost month 7 since my construction building husband's ankle injuries and it is neat to see God's continued provisions though we are both at the longing for a new routine of workdays and a familiar path.  Lord willing we plan for it to begin taking shape this summer with the warmer Minnesota days and construction taking off. He is so excited for spring and hoping to be able to frame again! We thought in our plan(= work would keep on a roll after January at like at least 20 or 30 hours but it did not however the neat thing is
my husband is healing and adjusting to his "new" ankles in this time at
home.  It is great to see him tussle on the floor with the kids or join
in a snowball fight now.  He can't run yet so is a bit of a target in
snow ball fights but given patience and practice he may run again.  The
so neat yet we must work at not holding our breath (bring our burden to
the Lord)at what is ahead...we have been provided for once again this
month through a super tax return (it also covers the 3 March birthdays
pizzas and goodies!)and even some set aside through my husband's
generosity to refresh my spirit with some fresh reading material. So the
super low prices you can find on amazon used but new books for ELizabeth
Elliot, Patricia St. John books and  some blessings from Rushton Family
ministries! What a treat!!  God is so good...a week or so before the tax
returns rolled in we were at the oh what will we do this week and at a
meeting at church my husband had he was reminded by seeing some stray
envelopes in his folder that like the month before he had pulled a few
envelopes out of our mailbox at church and they were there...later he
opened them and  1 had $100 in it as a anonymous gift.  It had been
sitting there a month until we needed it. Then 2 days I have been able
to do daycare for a friend's daycare..all these little things add up for
God's care of us as he cares also for the feather's on a sparrow.

A so fun scrapbookers smile. A local $$ store had some you guessed
it for $1 small but gorgeous scrapbooks so I purchased 4 for this summer
and wildflower collecting, journaling .... then we needed a supercard for
Grandpa Johnston in the hospital so thought oh we must (haha) purchase
more of these so I am stocked up and thinking Christmas gifts with
recipe scrapbooking in them for mom and my sisters. We did not get to
the Cities to bring him his super card but sent it with a relative but
made up a neat mini book of photos we copied on the copy machine of the
kids and color pages from the kids.  Journals like this are so fun.  A
lady we have met through church is on bedrest (expecting twins)and we
have tried to bring meals and some creative bed rest ideas once a week ,
how handy to have a little scrapbook on hand to share with her that she
can fill with her journals if she wants to. Our little things can help
add to the joys of others when God uses us.  It was so fun to hear her
tell of how her and the kids had fun with the container of stamps I had
brought over.  Getting to know her has been a blessing and reminder to
me God can use a simple stay at home mom to help out others even at this
busy (and broke(= )season of my life in a way that fits into our family.
(just plan and double a meal) Thank you for your writings and glancing
through Elizabeth's Christmas recipe bonus that looks very fun too!

Praying For You,
Heidi

Answer:

Hi!

Thanks so much for your email. Sorry it took a bit to get back in touch with you. I have had FITS with my computer this week--thought I had a virus, when PRAISE GOD it turned out to be spyware on my computer. Now we are going again! :-)

Thanks for this letter! You are priceless!

To answer your question...after your purchase of our ebooks, you have unlimited access to your books. If you want to read them bit-by-bit on our server, you can. If you want to print a page here or there, you can do that too. All we ask is that you not share our links for our ebooks with any friends. Obviously. ha!

We do periodically change links for ebooks for security purposes. All you would have to do at that time is drop me a line. I will look up your information and quickly send another link to you. We want to make it as easy as possible for you.

I am so glad to catch up with you. You are in my prayers when you cross my mind--frequently! I count it a privilege to get to know you and to see what God is doing for you!

I had a HUGE praise report this week. God blessed us so much with our Organization Set Sale that I was able to invest in the equipment for my podcasts! I am just pumped this week! I received it in time for the Lapbooking Workshop the other night. Of course, remembering to push the RECORD button would have helped...ha! BUT, we are now ready to go! I have some big treats coming with those! WOoohoo! God is SOOO amazingly good!

Well, I had better get going! This is a girl-day with Elisabeth. I think we are both about ready for a nice girl lunch. ;-)

Love ya lots!
Cindy

Questions and Answers: Help Me!

Question:
Dear Cindy,

I am a homeschool mom in southern California.  I have been homeschooling for six years and need some refreshing!

Is there any chance that you will be on the West Coast in the near future?

Early last year I was given a large number of 3-ring binders and was hoping to use them for notebooking or lapbooking. (I'm not sure of the difference between the two.)  If you could offer some incite I'm sure it would help get me on the right track again and refresh my children's outlook on learning.

I'm not savvy on the computer lingo but would like to be.  What are blogs?  What do most people do with the e-books they purchase?  Do they print them and put them in some type of binding?  What are the e-zine's?

I hope my e-mail isn't asking for too much information.  Hope to hear from you.

Hi!

Thanks so much for your email. I will go through your email answering you. These are super questions. I am happy to help! :)

Is there any chance that you will be on the West Coast in the near future?

I am not scheduled for any events anywhere close-by at this time. Our schedule is packed out with other events at this time. One thing that I recommend is checking out our online audios. We have all of our teachings (many that you were probably expecting at your event) online and available for download into your Mp3 player or to play on your computer. You can see our current listing here: http://www.cindyrushton.com/CindysMP3s.html

Also, we are gearing up for our podcast--online radio show. It should begin with regular broadcasts very soon. If you are on my ezine lists, you will hear all about it very soon. If you want to subscribe to the ezines, just sign up here: http://www.CindyRushton.com/Subscribe.html.

Our Podcast will feature many different types of recordings. There will be recordings of my workshops on the road...interviews with fellow speakers/writers/friends... regular questions and answers from my mailbag...plus, just recordings mom-to-mom. It will be a nice touch for those that are a long way off to connect with me regularly. We are excited about this! Stay tuned for more info.

(I'm not sure of the difference between the two.)  If you could offer some incite I'm sure it would help get me on the right track again and refresh my children's outlook on learning.

I have lots of information on my website. You can see some articles at this link:
http://www.cindyrushton.com/SummerTreat.html

One of the links on that page includes some information from a chat about Notebooking and Lapbooking. You can read those transcripts here:
http://www.CindyRushton.com/pdfs/TranscriptsNBLBChat.pdf

You can read more about Lapbooking online at my website as well. Here is the link: http://www.cindyrushton.com/Lapbooking.html

I'm not savvy on the computer lingo but would like to be.  What are blogs?  What do most people do with the e-books they purchase?  Do they print them and put them in some type of binding?  What are the e-zine's?
Let me answer these questions individually...

I'm not savvy on the computer lingo but would like to be.  What are blogs?

Blogs are web-logs. They are online journals/websites. Take a look at my blog here: http://www.homeschoolblogger.com/CindyRushton/ At my blog you will find  a potpourri of articles, find out about new links from my website and online ministries, and stay abreast of upcoming events and projects!

What do most people do with the e-books they purchase?  Do they print them and put them in some type of binding?

I purchase a large number of e-books. I either print them out and bind them into a book or notebook or I simply save them on my computer to read when I travel. With our E-Books, you can either view them online indefinitely...save them to your computer...or print them out and bind them into books/notebooks for your personal use. Our E-Books have been incredibly popular. They are very convenient to order. When they are ordered online, they are received within 24 hours. All you need to view them is ADOBE READER--we provide a link to the free download with each ebook order.

What are the e-zine's?

We produce two publications, both of which are sure to be an incredible blessing to you and your family.

Homeschooling The Easy Way is produced with the goal of encouraging a return back to God’s design for the godly home and homeschool! Each issue includes articles that encourage homeschooling with a lifestyle of real learning that returns to the OLD PATHS that have worked for centuries. Topics range from hearing God in your homeschool to balancing all of the many demands that the busy homeschool mom faces day-to-day to teaching lessons in a simple, EASY way to VERY practical ideas that are sure to make homeschooling in your home EASY too! You won’t want to miss a single issue!

Time For Tea is written for the purpose of ministering to YOUR heart! Articles range from topics covering developing a closer walk with the Heavenly Father to ministering to the heart of your husband to discipling our children with a Godly heritage to ideas for homemaking from the heart to getting and staying organized to ideas for developing the impact of YOUR Home Ministry to great encouragement for Home Businesses to wisdom that can truly encourage you to become a vessel that God can use!

Thank you,

Question...How do I find the most recent posts???

1:23 PM, Feb. 25, 2006 .. Posted in Questions and Answers .. Link

Question:

I love your new look on the blog.  But I can't find the last few blogs the way they ran down the side.  I can only get on every few days and like to stay caught up.  Are they in the archives and listed in order??? Sharon

Answer:

Hey!

Thanks so much for your feedback! :)  I really appreciate your help in making everything JUST LIKE YOU LIKE IT! :)

I just added the list of most recent articles to the bottom of the page. It will appear right after the top five posts that are actually viewed on the home page. Plus, you can always see the archives at the link in the middle of the page (my MENU). Hope this helps! :)

OH! And...the archives are listed with the most recent at the top.

Stay in touch!

Love,
Cindy
