God cares about the little things

Posted in Sewing

Before making the camo shoes for Philip, I made little blue ones. I lost one. I was very sad about losing it. One day I was changing Philip. Our "changing table" is a changing pad on our bathroom counter. I prayed about those shoes. I said, Lord, you know where that shoe is, will you please tell me? At that moment I felt the Lord tell me the shoe was under Philip. I got so excited! I just knew He said under Philip's car seat! I finished changing Philip and ran out to the van...it wasn't there! I was disappointed. But I told the Lord I'm sorry I don't understand, I trust that it will turn up eventually. Well, Saturday morning I lifted the changing pad to clean the bathroom counter and guess what I found? The missing shoe..."UNDER PHILIP"!!! Our God is so good! I don't know why I quickly interpreted His answer incorrectly, it was so simple and so right!! Thank you Lord!

Here is the complete pair of shoes. They are reversible and the picture shows both directions. Kenny calls them his Inmate Shoes and wants to know when I'm making an Inmate outfit to match

Baby Shoes

Posted in Sewing

I made these cute little camoflauge baby shoes for Philip. I used the pattern here. Technically they are reversible in the way I sewed them, but I put leather looking vinyl on the bottoms (you can sort of see it on the left foot in the picture), so I wouldn't want to actually reverse them.

Reversible Journal Cover

Posted in Sewing

I made this reversible journal cover for a gift. I used instructions found here: Reversible Journal Cover

I added a pen pocket to the front of both sides. It was super easy. And it's blue because that's the recipient's favorite color (not mine ).
