Finding Local Things When Your Not Local
So we've lived in the state of Florida for over four years now. I'm pretty comfortable getting around town and finding my way, but when it comes to actually needing to hire someone or go outside of my local town for some type of merchandise, I feel a little lost.
When it comes to spending money on either hiring someone to do some work around the house, or buying new furniture, I like to seek out places and people that have references and or good reports from others who have used them.
Local reviews is great web site that can help any newbie to the area and even someone like me whose been around a little while but needs some help. It's free to sign up and the site is really easy to use. You can use it for just reference purposes, but it's also set up as a community type board. You make up your own profile and post reviews of your own.
I wasn't sure about sharing my own ideas and or reviews of things at first, but then the thought came to me about myself. What I mean is, I thought of someone like me four years ago. New to the area and feeling a little lost at times. Having a site that had actual REAL people sharing their reviews and references would help A LOT.
So if your new to your area, or even like me, not so new but a little lost. Check out
Local reviews and find your way around town.
