The Coupon Box - A Tale of Surrender
This is how it all started.
Just a small billfold type coupon keeper and me. We had a great relationship.
It fit perfectly in my purse and traveled with me everywhere. Even to baby showers and wedding showers, where I won special prizes for having the MOST coupons on hand.
But those days are gone. I've become a professional coupon clipper so to speak and so my relationship has ended with my little billfold keeper.
I tried... I really did. I tried to make it work. I stuffed and crammed it to it's limits, but in the end I had to put it out of it's misery. When it no longer could stretch it's little rubberband strap around it's core... we both knew the time had come.
I will remember the good times. I will remember it's faithfulness and longsuffering with me.
But now it's time to say goodbye to an old friend and hello to a new.
I'm not sure how this new friend will work out.
Yes, he does give me more room and I can add my own topics, but the comfort and ease is gone. Lugging this thing around isn't as nice, but it has opened doors to GREAT savings.
So for now we will stick together, but I'm on the lookout for a replacement, something more good looking.
I know that's so shallow, but I have to be honest. I do go for looks in this type of situation.
But for now I will surrender to the black box. I will lug it around and save lots of $$, but someday soon.. there may be a new 'keeper' in town.

Finding the Card that Works
First, let me start this out with saying that I DO NOT advise anyone to get themselves into credit card debt. My DH and I have been using credit cards for years, but we never carry a balance.
Seeing that I LOVE to find the greatest bargains and deals, having a good credit card that does more then just charge me interest is a MUST! We prefer to use cards that reward in cash and or points to use toward other purchases. It seems now a days you can't doing anything without having a credit card. You need one to rent a car, hold a hotel room, order ANYTHING online and so much more.
For us having a credit card helps us actually keep track of where we spend our money. We run our home on an envelope budget type thing and I can just transfer the $$$ from their little compartments when the credit card statement comes. But how do you know which card to get? To make sure your not signing up for bad credit credit cards you can check out the site called CreditCardsClub.Com. This site has a great list of ALL kinds of great credit card deals! It's a one stop shop for you. You can find cards for Cash Back, Gas Reward Cards - who couldn't use that nowadays, No Annual Fee's,Airline Cards and tons more!
So if your a disciplined person and your shopping for a new credit card with rewards of some kind. Check out CreditCardsClub.com

Stamping into Organization!!
As I've stated before. My DH is self employed. He basically runs his business on his own, but I do help out with the accounting end of it.Well. Let's say I do his book keeping and banking and then take it to the accountant. LOL.
But the other day, while I was using the DEPOSIT ONLY stamp that I got from Vista Print, I had a 'Martha Stewart' moment. What if I used self inking stamps for other things?!I've used Vista Print quiet a few times. They have awesome deals on address labels, business cards, and other great stuff.
For Christmas one year, I ordered my mom some really cute business cards. She teaches CPR, watches people's animals while their on vacation, and tons of other helpful jobs. So I ordered her some ANGEL FOR HIRE cards. She LOVED it! So here's what I'm thinking...All those new school books coming into the house...self inking stamps for them! One's with our family name on them! I've loaned out SO many books and forgotten who I lent them too.. this would help out a lot! I can customize them the way I want and have fun with it.
I want to get a Christmas one for this year and be able to make little gifts for the people who come to our Christmas party. I can get some really cute colored paper and stamp away a really cute message! Why haven't I ever thought of this before? And as I write this my youngest Princess is telling me she wants to order some business cards for her babysitting adventures... how smart she is. LOL.
So check out Vista Print. They have some great FREE deals where you only pay shipping!
