May. 26, 2005 - Wow! I Have a Blog!
This could be dangerous...
People say bloggers are more reliable than journalists. My question is, can I be a blogger and a journalist? I mean, sure, I can rant and rave or provide comical commentary on all sorts of subjects (that's what bloggers do, after all), but will anything that I write on this blog make sense? When literary professors unearth my blog in the middle of 2090, will they call it a masterpiece or disect it to teach their students what not to do? Come to think of it, in 2090, will there even be literary professors? Or will we get all of our information from DV-Sonic-MP-40-Players that fit into our ears like hearing aids? Sometimes I wonder.
I have a lot of questions. Should I bother to think about how my blogging reads, or is it all just for fun? Do I really want to spend my time writing for fun? Am I writing for fun right now, or am I analyzing everything I'm writing while I pretend to have fun? (The answer to that question is 'yes'). I guess the next few weeks will tell if I have what it takes to be a blogger. I'll let you know when I find out for sure.
By the way, does this thing have spell-check?
