Global Warming On MarsHere's an interesting article from National Geographic. A maverick climate scientist from Russia named Habibullo Abdussamatov is arguing that the melting of the ice caps on the planet Mars are evidence that global warming is occuring there also, which suggests that the Sun may be the cause. Naturally, Dr. Abdussamatov's conclusions are being condemned by mainstream climatology. The article states that the experts consider the apparent warming on Mars to be a coincidence and not related to the occurence on Earth. However, even if this could be proven through scientific observation, it wouldn't explain the other apparent global warming around the solar system. The recent appearance of a second red spot on Jupiter -- dubbed "Spot, Jr." -- is the result of increased atmospheric activity on that planet, which could be the result of an increase of atmospheric temperatures. So either the Sun is the cause of any apparent "global warming" or there must be a lot of SUV-driving conservatives on Mars and Jupiter! Leave a Comment Leave a Comment |
