Once again, I have received one of Johannah Bluedorn's beautifully illustrated books to review, Little Bitty Baby Learns Greek. This is the second board book in her language series for young children. She first published Little Bitty Baby Learns Hebrew.
The board book, of course, will stand the test of time as your toddler "reads" his very first foreign language book! My father had to learn the Greek alphabet when he was in school and Greek letters are still frequently seen today at churches and in symbols for various organizations (and then there are the fraternities and sororities at colleges, too!).
The following information comes from the inside front page of the book, "You are shown both the capital and lower-case forms of each letter. With a guide word, you are taught the sound the letter makes. A small picture accompanies each letter in order to help you remember the letter's sound." Then, inside the back cover of the book, the entire Greek alphabet is listed with the sound clues given, but no pictorial representation.
As usual, Johannah Bluedorn has produced another delightful book to read with your child. My children may be 11 and 12 years old, but I do plan on teaching them the Greek alphabet using this book because I believe it is important for them to learn the symbols so they will recognize them in their adulthood.
The book retails for $12.99 and can be purchased from Trivium Pursuit.

that I have heard about this book within this week. I just told my husband, our little baby Ty is gonna start homeschooling with Mommy as well. And this is the first book we're gonna start on. Of course I already started Baby Einstein stuff on him and baby signs.
Happy Father's Day to your beloved!
Blessings, Melanie <><
