Jacque has asked the following questions on her blog for her contest and I thought I'd enter ... my answers are below! The prize looks great ... you should enter!!
The prize will be a back-to-school package, including several goodies:
- 5- 70 sheet spiral-bound notebooks
- 5- 2-pocket folders
- 10 ct. #2 pencils
- 5 mechanical pencils
- pkg. 12 colored pencils
- 2-pk. pink erasers
- 4- washable gluesticks
- 2- double pencil sharpeners
I am a planner, but my plans usually look better on paper and we never seem to accomplish it all - LOL! However, if I do not write a schedule down, then we don't cover as much, so it's best for us to have a plan.
Definitely a mix of curriculum (see sidebar and note the blog name ... "eclectic!")
Well, yes, for some classes. For example, for our homemaking/life skills course, I chose books to use and just mapped out when to cover what.
BOTH! If something new strikes me, I'm game to try it!
My son likes to do his work at the craft table or on the living room couch. My daughter does her work in her room.
I am most excited about our homemaking/life skills and Bible study
I adjust the teaching to the child's ability ... if they can tackle higher level work, great. If they need to be held back, that's fine, too!
Well, that's a little peek into how we homeschool in our home!
