Our Reading progress:Entry 2
Today M4 finished his letter. He and his father sat and pumped it out while I fixed dinner with my dd. He said "it was fun...now I need a stamp!" I asked why it wasn't fun with us and he smiled and shrudged I don't know. So I just hugged him. I think I feel pressure so in turn he feels pressure and we just don't enjoy and the result is less work gets done. So attitude adjustment. Back to the alter! I keep thinking I can win everyone but....so I need to change that thinking too. One of my favorite things is to win souls to Christ...just to have my hand in the mission! Love that, but one has to be wise to win souls... so this will be my thinking and also to glorify Him by relaxing and enjoying all our moments together no matter what we are doing. M5 had to read two verses today concerning the Lord calming the storm!. There were a few words that she gets stuck with. I'm so glad for her voice...it's angelic for an 8 yr. old. I've come to call on her to sing a song i don't know all the verses for...never disappointed!

Our Reading progress:Entry 1
Nothing to do but to do it, everyday, all day, one min. at a time! So saying that for the past few days... M4 has been reading short poems from our childcraft book. It's a real confidence booster for him too:) So I just knew reading a short verse would bless him just as much...it is the word of God :D At night we each take turns reading scripture. Today he completed another effort in writing to his pen pal...i want to add another. Milky our cat's dander got to him today, but we trooped through with sneezes and sniffles anyhow. I put on the calendar a note for Milky's salon...to help keep his dander down. Tomorrow we'll write more of the letter and mail it on the weekend.

Store Playing fun...future dreams!
 ~~~~Math~~~~~ My 12 yr. old planned and made crafts to play store with her sibs for weeks. Being the clutter queen, it was a challenge to not let her collected boxes and paper scraps get out of hand, but she did it...with a little help, here and there;) Playing store when I was young wasn't this elaborate lol . Even I had to have one of her items for sale. Sadly we have to find another venue for her crafts...the boys were leaving their purchases on the floor. A problem I let go before the craft came along. So I'd like to see her have a craft show with other schooler or hold a gallery sale. The reviewer mentioned how it would be a great motivator for her to continue if she could get that kind of experience. I'm not sure when the Lord will make such an opportunity available but I agree with her on that note. Although my lil' inventor/entreprenuer seems highly motivated by the Lord!
Dailies
When I think about routines I think of Jesus saying...Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. I'd been thinking about being a fun mom...I'd checked out joyful home school mom's blog and she'd asked about other's routines. How i spend much of my time looking seeking for ways to get closer to them...knowing them who they are. Knowing the way the Lord would have me lead each day and Knowing me. We eat everyday, clean up, play and go to bed. We spend much of the day learning how to get along with each other so we can get along with others. ~Mornings~ My ds3, 5 and dd 1 play under my foot, while my dd8 and ds10 chores, hang out and play with their older sibs , 12, 14, and 16. ~Afternoons~
Their interest are... drawing, comic book, two-three books in the works between my two teen girls. My 8 yr old is making a doll for a pen-pal. The boys are collecting things popsicle, sticks which they used to make planes and a barbie stand today...bottle tops, We have a rock collections too. I think those will be good for our garden. I started collecting some jars for canning but two have been confiscated for collecting bugs. My 3yr old is asking to use the bathroom more...so he's getting better at that every day. I let my him play in sand Fri....always fun for him! So we find things to get into, until my dds come down to help with lunches/clean up and quiet shows...Mr. Rogers & Reading rainbow... most days. My oldest is working faithfully with his drawings developing his artist eye, panging away at his 3d charecters and learning to be a more understanding brother. Then It's quiet/reading/nap time! While I get the smaller two down for a nap...the older group...watch a little tv, some puter time and music. ~Early Evenings~ Once naptime is over we have some refreshments and break until Dinner prep, dinner then clean up and the end of the day. This is my hot spot time so to speak, where I need to help them make a transitions into a quieter time of day. While we make dinner the boys get bored with tv so...I found while I sit in the kitchen and watch over my girls, I can use that time to read with my ds...I just can't get so wrapped up in dinner prep, that I forget. I let some of the little one help out with Light meals...salads, sunday desserts and table settings. Well there is a big chunk of our summer days.
