Recovering
I have good news, my brother is much better.
He can use his walking frame 3 times every day now, and although he is better he has still not fully recovered. There is one thing that I will ask you to pray for.
When his leg broke the bones had slightly pierced the skin.
If that skin dies, (it will happen from the inside out) then he will have to have that piece of dead skin removed and he will have to get a piece of skin taken from his thigh or somewhere else flabby and have it put on his leg.
(otherwise known as a skin-graph)
apart from that he is much better. (only little bits of pain now) He is still unwell and he needs to keep doing exercises for his muscles every single day.
Thankyou for the prayers, he will hopefully be able to leave hospital in the middle of next week.
Thakyou very much, and my brother thanks you too.
Write soon,
Coffeegirl
P.S. I will try to find the time to write the next chapter in my Olly story.

Oh, your poor brother!!

I read the first post after it happened, but hadn't been able to come back and check on his progress!
I'd be sooo mad at that hospital... granted he was allergic to things they didn't think he would be, but it sounds like they put his cast & bandaging on too tight, TWICE in a row!!! And then to not give him the proper dose of pain medication! To get better, you need that medication so you can do what you need to do. Pain is soooooo tiring!! (I know since I'm still recovering from my surgery!)
I'm sooo very glad that things are looking up... give your momma a BIG HUG for me, will you? Your family is so special to me.
And so far, your story is GREAT! Very well done! I'm glad you're getting more rested... with your brother and all, that is very exhausting and hard to live thru when you are "just" the bystander. Help your mom to get rest, too! I'm concerned about her. ;o)
Hey, I got curious and started looking around for Ruby Slippers. A friend of mine found this site all about the Ruby Slippers. http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/hills/6396/rubyslip.htm I saw what you wrote on that 22 item list you answered down below. I'm going to have that as my next blog entry, so thanks for helping me out on that!

Oh, and I forgot to mention...

I found this site:
http://www.wbuf.noaa.gov/tempfc.htm
and it translates Fahrenheit to Celcius. So when it was 50 degrees F inside my house, it was the same as your 10 degrees C. If it had been that temp outside, it would have been comfortable, maybe a bit of a nip in the air if there was a breeze, but would have been quite pleasant in the sunshine. INSIDE a house, is a bit tooooo COLD for my tastes!!! LOL
Love ya', darlin',
