DUST STORM LEAVES MANY HELPLESS

Hello fellow bloggers!

I am going to try and make this sound as much like a newspaper as possible.LOL

(as for the heading)

People driving back from town, or into town were struck down by wind, rain, and dust storms.

"There was nowhere that you couldn't see a dust storm. The sky was red with sand and the windmills were blowing like crazy."

says a spectator

"we were driving back from town when we saw all this red sky that was actually all weak twisters, known as dust storms, and we had to pull over to the side of the road untill it passed because we couldn't see the road. It's the worst sort that I've ever seen."

All power from Yalgoo to Murrewa was lost for over 24 hours. Families lost food in their fridges and freezes, but to top it all off, it was a 40 degree day.

"We had no air conditioner, no fridge, no TV or computers, at night we lit candles and played board games because we couldn't find much else to do. The folowing day, when the power was still not on, we were sweltering in the heat and prayed for the power to come back on."

At around 7:20PM the power came on, but the TV stations were damaged therefore there were no channels.

"We did not know the severity of the storm at all because we couldn't watch the news."

Mullewa had lots of trouble getting their power back on because the place where the problem was, was surrounded in mud and the elctricians couldn't get to it.

One girl even used her laptop to use the internet because she was so bored and needed to get her mind off the heat.

it was good exept for the bit where it said "one girl even used her laptop" I mean, wouldn't anyone use their laptop if they had one and it was a boring type day. The dust storm sounded exiting, I have always wanted to get stuck in a dust storm (In a car of course). another thing is that 40 degrees isn't that hot coz here it gets to 46 degrees

It was actually 45 degrees. mum said so. I made a mistake. And it gets that hot here too.
A little while ago it got to 50 and birds were dropping dead out of the sky.
