how's apologetics going with that baptist? mine ended because they started throwing criticism at me because I explained penance and repentance to them and they kept saying, "well... I still don't agree, anyway..."

Blessings,
Grace

PS. Yeah, it would be cool to be apologists and nuns together, lol!!

Just a little tip... DON'T become a Franciscan Nun they're Idol worshipers. The hole of catholicism is just a Pagan religion from the Devil. worst of all is the worship of the Virgin Mary. I mean... it's terrible they used to have a religion a long time ago where there were lots of Goddesses and gods. and so hen they became "Christian" they decided. AHA we'll just turn the apostles into gods and Mary into a goddess. So they did. It's disgusting... I hate to say this but It jolly well is.

I don't know much about Catholicism, but doesn't it seem, well, fake praying to Mary instead of Jesus? Like, if you were gonna ask you Dad something, would you ask your grandmother instead? I prefer having a personal relationship with Jesus, without a go-between. Just a thought...

The thing is you ask Mary's intercession in prayer. and what's mary got to do with anything? I mean her son was Jesus... so what. that doesn't mean you should pray to her. S'pose you aren't as bad as some catholics I've seen... AND ANYWAY mary wasn't always a virgin because Jesus jolly well had brothers. So there.

Hi there! What I meant was I told him the REAL truth of how the Catholic Faith was founded and that we do not worship anyone but God... if you'd like me to send you what I wrote to him, I'd be happy to :) The comment above me, Jesus did NOT have brothers. I can explain that further... but I have to go!
Elizabeth- you and I will always be put down on our True Catholic Faith! Jesus said: "Blessed are you when they persecute you because of my sake..." Elizabeth, I'm so proud of your standing up for your the Truth :)

Your good friend in Christ,
Grace

Okay well...yes, i commented because Nathan did. I don't agree with EVERYthing he said, but I do with other things. according to what I know of catholosism (sp?) we (humans) arn't worthy to talk to God, so we have to talk to him through Mary. This isn't true because since Jesus died for us we can talk directly to him all we want. And also there's the thing that catholics think they need to do good works to get to heaven. Thats partly true since the Bible says faith without works is useless, but some people take it to far, even to the point of getting a priest to 'say mass' over them as they die, incase they sin as they go out. I must say though I admire the catholics for taking a stand against abortion.
Sorry if you took my last comment as an insult, I debate creation/evolution with people on facebook and they're not very polite.
cheers,

Cleared Up

Posted by CoffeeGirl

I have answered each of you in separate ways. Just something I'd like to clear up:
1. We DO NOT worship ANYONE except God.
2. Mary was the mother of God. How can you bring her out at Christmas and then shut her away again? Don't you think there's more to it than that?
3. I don't believe Jesus had siblings. In the original text there wasn't a word for 'brother' or 'cousin' or 'close friend'. They were all summed up in one word. When you read (in an English interpreted bible) that Jesus had brothers, the word 'brothers' was just chosen out of many other possibilities. Also, if Jesus had siblings, why then, when He was dying on the cross, did He ask one of His disciples to take His mother, Mary, as his own mother and for Mary to take this disciple as her son? Surely Jesus' other siblings would have looked after her.

God bless,
Elizabeth

P.S. Thankyou Grace.

Okay, yeah, it really stinks to go to my GODSISTER'S blog and see her being bullied by other people about our faith.
