Homeschool Youth Leadership School Invitation
We are 13 year- homeschool parents of seven residing in Mancos, Colorado (between Durango and Cortez). We would like to invite your students to an incredible week at the Denver Capitol (March 12 - March 16, 2007) where they can learn valuable servant- leadership skills as well as get a hands-on look at Colorado state government. They will learn how to lead in changing their state, local community, and nation for God's glory. We are the 2007 Colorado Coordinators for this class as well as parents of three students that have benefited from this class and have been able to bless their community, state, and nation with all that they have received.
The organization that sponsors this class is TeenPact .
Please check out their website and feel free to ask us any questions you may have at teamfamily88 (at) msn (dot) com.
There is an early registration with great savings due by November 1. We believe that this week would make a huge impact in your student's life as well as a positive godly impact in the state of Colorado. Below we have included a letter from our oldest daughter about how TeenPact has been a significant part of her life: TeenPact has made a life-changing impact on my life. I didn't know exactly what to expect when I attended my first TeenPact class in 2002, but that week showed me ways that I, a Christian home-educated student, could make a difference in my nation and world for Christ. Each TeenPact week is filled with hands-on activities and speakers, from the Governor to lobbyists, that reinforce TeenPact's mission: "To train young people to be leaders who will impact the nation and the world." My involvement in TeenPact has grown my leadership skills, stretched my comfort zone, and motivated me to get involved right now, as a youth, in changing my nation and world for Christ.
Since graduating from TeenPact, I have had the opportunity to run for Senator at TeenPact's National Convention, work on Student Projects for the Massachusetts Marriage Amendment, a congressional campaign in Texas, Roy Moore's campaign for Governor in Alabama, to get Justice Samuel Alito successfully confirmed, and for the Marriage Protection Amendment in Washington D.C. The interest in government TeenPact sparked in me also led to the opportunity to serve on the staff of a congressional campaign. I am currently serving as Field Staff for TeenPact, and I am very excited for the 2007 TeenPact Colorado class! TeenPact has been a significant part of my life. It has given me the tools to be a culture-changing leader for the glory of God. I urge you to send your student to the 2007 TeenPact Colorado class - it will be a decision you will never regret. Come prepared for your youth to be set on fire about impacting the world for Christ! See you at the Capitol! ~Michaela Martens
We have a youth team available to speak at your homeschool group - please let us know if you would be interested. Please join our family for an incredible week (March 12 -March 16, 2007)!
