Hi friends! I am happy to announce the re-entry of a wonderful homeschooling resource for the state of Colorado. After being away from the frontlines for a few years, he Rocky Mountian Education Connection is back in full force! Cindy Stanley has a heart for homeschooling and her has worked very hard (it's obvious!) to bless us with her passion for homeschooling.
Be sure to stop by her new website and take a look around! She has tons to share and lots of energy to do it! You will love her humorous and down-to-earth style of "talking" on her site, plus many great articles, links and resources for you!
Blessings to you Cindy, and CONGRATULATIONS!!!!
Nancy

Begin Press Release (boy, I feel so fancy)
After a six-year hiatus, the Rocky Mountain Education Connection is back! Did you miss me? For those of your scratching your head in bewilderment, (which is probably most of you) RMEC is a friendly, inclusive online resource for homeschooling and unschooling information in Colorado and the surrounding Rocky Mountain states. C'mon over and take a look around. Now the site isn't fancy or whizbang high-tech (I'm not much of a techie), but it is warm and welcoming, full of good information, resources and encouragement. There's a bookstore, fun learning stuff, support group listings, a conferences and events page, and my humorously entitled "Rookie Workshop for New Homeschoolers." You'll find I have a soft spot for humor. I love making folks smile.
Who the heck is RMEC? you may be wondering. Is it some big company or vendor with phone trees and secretaries? Ah, no. It's just me, Cindy Englan Stanley in Colorado, a veteran homeschooling mom two of grown kiddos. RMEC has actually been around since 1996. It featured a CO statewide newsletter, my Rookie Workshops, plus the successful "Homeschooling for Everyone" conference with David and Micki Colfax, Ruth Beechick and Cafi Cohen in 1998. As it's been known to do, life tossed one too many curveballs and in late 2000, I had to close it all down. Now, after six years of learning to juggle, everything is status quo again. But still, I missed you guys. So crazy me, I came back. ;-)
The web site's in its infancy, so please bear with me through that old standby "please excuse our dust!" stuff. The new RMEC URL is http://www.rmec-online.com Please add, or update your links. Thanks.
If you'd like to add your support group listing for AZ, CO, ID, MT, NM, Utah, WY or nationwide let me know here. If that doesn't work in an email, the actual URL is: http://www.rmec-online.com/requestListing.html
All other mail should be sent to Cindy@RMEC-online.com
Thank you, everybody! It's good to be home again. :-)
