Hi Friends!
The Colorado blog has sat fallow for quite awhile and with YOUR help I hope to get some good updated info on here for all of us! Would you all do me a favor and tell me what your groups are up to these days? I am sure you are busy with family right now, getting ready to celebrate your holidays, but take a moment to leave me a comment and tell me where you are and what you are up to.
Many homeschoolers take the entire month of December off in order to do holiday preparations. I think after all the "off time" we will need a vacation in January! There are so many wonderful projects to be involved in at home and abroad. Are you going carolling? Are you visiting a nursing home this season, or volunteering at a soup kitchen? Have you been out looking at lights and decorations? Tonight, my husband took the kids and I out for a real treat. We love to get some snacks together and listen to carols, or sing in the car while we drive around and look at all the Christmas lights.
Well, tonight we did something different!
We went for a drive to see a young man's home decorated with over a zillion lights, (slight exaggeration there) and he also has his own radio frequency set up so you can listen on the radio. This person has done this light show to raise money (on his own) for Compassion International. What a great cause! The light show will go through January 2, 2009 and you can go see it at 4394 Crow Creek Drive in Colorado Springs. Enjoy! (And don't forget to leave a donation for Compassion!)
Have a great rest of your week, and please leave me a comment and let me know what you need to know about homeschooling in Colorado, or what you have been up to! I can't wait to hear from you.
Blessings,
Nancy
