Notes from the Laundry Pile

Feb. 27, 2007 - And Suddenly Spring..

There is so much I want to say! So much I want to type - but I have two wee ones with ear infections and these have made them very clingy...so instead I'll share a new favorite poem..

I just love the visual imagery here in this poem..so I share my amusement...

And Suddenly Spring  by Margaret Hillert

The winds of March were sleeping.

I hardly felt a thing.

The trees were standing quietly.

It didn’t seem like spring.

Then suddenly the winds awoke

And raced across the sky.

They bumped right into April,

Splashing springtime in my eye.

from the book "The Sky is Full of Song"  --> compiled by Lee Bennett Hopkins

Here's Hoping Springtime splashes you in the eye!!

Thanks for sharing that cheery poem. It really is the change of seasons by the calendar. Sounds as if spring is really upon you. Over here, we're still having plenty of summer heat so autumn coolness hasn't arrived yet.

I don't know who started it. I got it from triviumacademy.blogspot.com.

I think my baby can compete for the whiny award today.

Hi!

I am hoping to be splashed in the eye, soon!

And RYC, I think you are brilliant. I am on another browser now, contacting the good folks at Pyrex to see what they can tell me about exploding plate experiments!

The good news here is that dinner was not newsworthy tonight. :)

Hope the illness clears up quickly at your place.

About Me
There are four kids here in the laundry pile, often times, playing king of the hill. Which amuses me - because I am the supreme high ruler of this laundry! *Looking around* ... There's also 1 hubby and a cat in here somewhere....
