FIMM was involved in an accident the other day. As required, FIMM
called his Insurance Claims Department and spoke with one of the Claims
Reps in order to report it. Here is his report:
Claims Rep: Blogger's Insurance Company. How may I help you? FIMM: I need to report an accident I had that I didn't think I would ever have. Claims Rep: Ok Sir. Can I have your name and policy number? FIMM: FIMM. Policy number BICFIMM12345 Claims Rep: OK FIMM. Can you tell me how the accident happened? FIMM:
Yes Ma'am. I had been driving for 20 years when I fell asleep at
the wheel. I had been shopping for a gift for
Bonnie all day and was on my way home. As I reached an
intersection, a hedge sprang up obscuring my vision and I did not see
the other car. A sign suddenly appeared in a place where no stop
sign had ever appeared before. I was attempting to swerve out of
its way when a fly flew into my window. In my attempt to
kill the fly, I drove into wrong house and collided with a tree I
don't have. Claims Rep: So was it a single car accident then? Or did the other car hit you? FIMM: Well, Ma'am. After I hit the tree, an invisible car came out of nowhere, struck my car and vanished.
Not surprisingly, FIMM was on the phone a while longer!
