As homeschoolers we are often...well...home! But sometimes life
can get so busy that we are here, but we are not really here because
our mind is on all the things we have to do:
Laundry...
Cooking...
Cleaning...
School...
Bills...
And then there are our kids' activities...
Here is your reminder to slow down and really take the time to be with
your kids! Mine came when my, then, 6y/o son said..."Mommy, I
know you are busy, but can you play with me today?" Awww....
Besides, keeping up with the schedule can be exhausting!
Requiring more and more coffee each day! And too much
caffiene isn't good for you.
You Know You've Had
Too Much Coffee When...
*Juan Valdez names his donkey after you
*You
get a speeding ticket even when you're parked
*You grind your coffee
beans in your mouth
*You sleep with your eyes open
*You have to
watch videos in fast-forward
*You lick your coffee pot clean
*Your eyes stay open when you sneeze
*The nurse needs a
scientific calculator to take your pulse
*You can type sixty words a
minute with your feet
*You can jump-start your car without cables
*Your only sources of nutrition comes from "Sweet & Low"
*You don't sweat, you percolate

It isn't enough to KNOW God's Word... We must be able to ARTICULATE it! Talk is cheap. Effective communication skills are priceless!
ROFL! Have you ever had a chocolate covered coffee bean?
Wowzers!!!!!! My husband came home with a small package and I ate two of them. What a trip that was! I shook for hours!
Our dog likes coffee beans. (We don't give them to him on purpose.) One day my husband was about to grind some coffee beans and as he was pouring some into the grinder when one fell onto the floor and the dog ate it! Then he stood there wagging his tail looking at my husband. My husband, being curious gave him another one. The dog, named Starbuck, (not named after coffee chain, but named after Battle Star Galactica or Moby Dick) ate it! So now everytime we grind coffee the almost 60 pound dog and not even a year old, is standing there in anticipation that a coffee bean will fall! I cracks me up each morning!
I am WAY behind on my Chr. SelfPub digests, but just now I read your post from early October, where you talked about how you let God plan your business. That was so nice to read :)
Thank you for sharing that---it's a good reminder of why we do this. I found it inspiring, and I know that God put it there for me at this particular time.
I was raised by two Atheists of Jewish heritage, married a non practicing Catholic and became a non denominational Christian due, in part, to some Amway meetings and a Jehovah's Witness who came to my door. My purple crayon writes with humor and almost always a little out of the lines.

This blog is my creative and fun way of sharing my thoughts on communication skills relating mostly to sharing and defending the faith. It also reveals a bit about how the Lord took this shy Agnostic girl and allowed her to find her voice and her purpose, a zany voice to the Christian community with insight as to what unbelievers need to hear about Christ Jesus.
