Tuesday Tip: Lighten Up Lady!

4-Year-Old Suspended After Hugging Teacher's Aide La Vega Primary School in Wacko Waco, Texas suspended a 4 y/o for "inappropriate physical behavior interpreted as sexual contact and/or sexual harassment" according to wacotrib.com.  HUH?!  Have we gone mad?  Are our sensabilities that fragile in 2006? There isn't anything unusual about this child's behavior and I think you have to be a little Waco Wacko in order to interpret a hug from a 4 y/o as "sexual harrassment".  "Political Correctness" gone amuck!  What's next?  Any Day Care workers filing sexual harrassment suits against a 4 month old for "inappropriate touching" while bottle feeding?  What does this communicate to a loving 4 y/o?  How will this affect him in the future?  And what does this communicate to the rest of the children in the class?  In America?  Communication is difficult enough for 4 year olds without having to consider the "sexual content" of their affection! My Tuesday Tip for this Teacher's Aide is to "lighten up"!  If she is so easily offended by things a normal 4 y/o would do, perhaps she shouldn't be working with 4 year-olds!  Only 7 More Days to get 50% OFF Know Your Audience: The Game!
