Tuesday Tip: So it's come to this!

Posted in Tuesday Tips
There is actually a tip posted on wikihow.com called How to Get out of a Car Gracefully Without Showing Your Underwear   complete with step by step instructions, tips, warnings, related links and ....drum roll please... a video!  The tip was sparked by recent Britney Spears "car issues" that were apparently embarrassing to everyone except her.

Have manners deteriorated so much that women no longer know how to present themselves gracefully in public?   Apparently so!

I find it funny that to the right of this article under Related wikiHows is:

  • How to Stand out at Social Gatherings and Parties  (Britney's tips?)
             And
  • How to Dress Properly for Any Occasion (The Bible gives us tips for this.)
The world loves to show and to see a woman's body.  Even women who profess to be Christians dress this way.

Dressing the Biblical way makes it much easier to get in and out of a car without showing your underwear!  In fact, it makes many things much easier.  You don't have to worry about men getting the "wrong idea" or communicating that you are someone who might do things you shouldn't.  It also doesnt' feed temptation in young boys.  Dressing modestly makes life a lot easier to be a good example for your children, your peers and as a representative of the Lord.

In light of this, I thought I would give my own Tuesday Tips for getting out of a car without showing anything you shouldn't:

1. Never wear a skirt who's hem line has to be measured for accuracy!
2. Don't buy a shirt who's front goes down to and/or who's bottom comes up to... your navel.
3. ixnay the low rider pants.
4. Buy clothes in YOUR size.
5. Walk like a lady.

It shouldn't be a matter of how much to show, but rather, what communicates that you are a graceful young lady...a child of God.

About Me

I was raised by two Atheists of Jewish heritage, married a non practicing Catholic and became a non denominational Christian due, in part, to some Amway meetings and a Jehovah's Witness who came to my door. My purple crayon writes with humor and almost always a little out of the lines. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This blog is my creative and fun way of sharing my thoughts on communication skills relating mostly to sharing and defending the faith. It also reveals a bit about how the Lord took this shy Agnostic girl and allowed her to find her voice and her purpose, a zany voice to the Christian community with insight as to what unbelievers need to hear about Christ Jesus. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DON'T MISS: Tuesday Tips, Misadventures of Foot in Mouth Man, Friday Funnies, Defending the Faith SONdays ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For more creative fun with JoJo you can visit www.ArtofEloquence.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver." -Proverbs 25:11
