Amazing News: God brings us out of a month of spiritual attacks with flying colors!

Oh where to begin...

Well today is my dd's very last SAT!  She is retaking the US History one and then she is DONE!  She couldn't be happier.  She will have three AP tests in May or there abouts but she says they will be easier.  After all, she never took the classes and got perfect 5's on both of the others!  She is currently taking all the AP courses for these tests and so the prep should be much easier for her!

Additionally, December marks the end of several more over scheduled activities that will free up our family time and my sanity!  LOL  In just a few more weeks my three online classes will end and we will be officially done with some of the remnant football activities.  No more SATs mean no more books to purchase too!  Whoohoo!  The USC grad student who filmed us for the homeschool documentary on Wednesday had my dd put all her SAT prep books on the floor and she filmed her next to them explaining what they were all for!  Took her several trips to get them all down and it was an impressive sight!  There is a lot of money in that pile!

Next bit of news is that right after Kelsey retakes the US HIstory SAT, we will be driving her over to Disneyland for her to perform in the Candlelight Processional for thousands of people!  Her choir was one of only 14 accepted of the 77 that auditioned!  Please pray it will not rain on her parade!  Literally!  We are not sure we will attend.  We would have to pay for 3 tickets to Disneyland for just a few hours and if it rains she will not perform and we wont' get our money back.  Tough decision!

Since we will be gone most of the day, I will be announcing the Family Word Contest winner(s) this weekend.  Stay tuned for that!

Many of you know how difficult this month has been for my family and our business.  We have been under spiritual attack all month.  We have had two different podcasts unable to air due to the strangest technical problems over at TalkShoe.com where we host the show.  Not only were these very powerful and FREE workshops not able to air but Art of Eloquence missed out on the sales activity that we were counting on for this month because we couldn't announce them on air.  Further, there were techy glitches of all shapes and sizes mostly inexplicable and fleeting!  Well, despite the efforts of the Evil One to destroy our business and our spirit, the Lord miraculously blessed us anyway!

To explain...we set a goal each month and this month was no exception.  Since very few children say..."All I want for Christmas is communication curricula!", this time of year is typically very slow and since we had a boom over the summer, we have had huge bills for inventory replacement.  We never expected to meet our goal this month.  With the additional technical glitches and spiritual attack, we never thought we would get anywhere close so I wasn't keeping a close watch.

Late yesterday I got an email from my dh at work.  He said that we were within $48 of our goal!  I was shocked!  We had had a flurry of responses to our half off sale for Say What You Mean: Defending the Faith as the sale was ending last night.  I watched in amazement as the Lord continued to work and that number came down.  I am amazed and excited to report that we ended up actually exceeding our goal!

The Lord is truly in the miracle business and it was a privalege to sit and watch it all unfold last night!

SInce this is Speak Up Saturday, I would love for each of you to share a miracle the Lord has done in your life recently!

Have a blessed day!

About Me

I was raised by two Atheists of Jewish heritage, married a non practicing Catholic and became a non denominational Christian due, in part, to some Amway meetings and a Jehovah's Witness who came to my door. My purple crayon writes with humor and almost always a little out of the lines. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This blog is my creative and fun way of sharing my thoughts on communication skills relating mostly to sharing and defending the faith. It also reveals a bit about how the Lord took this shy Agnostic girl and allowed her to find her voice and her purpose, a zany voice to the Christian community with insight as to what unbelievers need to hear about Christ Jesus. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DON'T MISS: Tuesday Tips, Misadventures of Foot in Mouth Man, Friday Funnies, Defending the Faith SONdays ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For more creative fun with JoJo you can visit www.ArtofEloquence.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver." -Proverbs 25:11
