How many people does it take these days to write a college application?

Posted in MailBag Mondays
You haven't lived until you have spent two solid days helping your dd brainstorm all the extra curricular activities she was involved in during the past four years!  Gathering up records from all over the house and trying to condense them down to a page or two!  Getting into college these days is very competitive.

Did I spell the name of that book I used for her history back in 9th grade correctly?  How do we describe a unit study that satisfied history, literature and fine arts to a USC admissions officer?

After two solid days of brainstorming and bullet pointing, Kelsey wrote up her essays and packaged up the USC college application.  Right after using USPS Online to send out a customer order, their website went down!  It wasn't like I knew it went down...oh NO!  I typed in all the information and couldn't fingure out why it wouldn't work.  I spent about a half hour of frustration until we had to leave for Karate.  We gathered everything up and off we went to the Post Office on the way.

WELL...  It's CHRISTmas time and this ding dong didn't realize that!  The line at the post office was almost out the door!

She was late for work by about 5 minutes but the USC College Application is winging it's way to the Office of Admissions as we speak.  Whew......

About Me

I was raised by two Atheists of Jewish heritage, married a non practicing Catholic and became a non denominational Christian due, in part, to some Amway meetings and a Jehovah's Witness who came to my door. My purple crayon writes with humor and almost always a little out of the lines. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This blog is my creative and fun way of sharing my thoughts on communication skills relating mostly to sharing and defending the faith. It also reveals a bit about how the Lord took this shy Agnostic girl and allowed her to find her voice and her purpose, a zany voice to the Christian community with insight as to what unbelievers need to hear about Christ Jesus. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ DON'T MISS: Tuesday Tips, Misadventures of Foot in Mouth Man, Friday Funnies, Defending the Faith SONdays ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For more creative fun with JoJo you can visit www.ArtofEloquence.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver." -Proverbs 25:11
