Communication FUNdamentals

From My Purple Crayon

I was thinking about my approach to communication skills as I created this blog and it occurred to me that it was very much like a purple crayon.

Purple is the color of royalty.  Fitting as Jesus is King and we await our crowns in heaven.  It is the signature color of Art of Eloquence, all of her products and the Say What You Mean Online Communication Convention.

A crayon is creative and fun.  When children use it they are free and without fear to color outside the lines and so, I believe, is God's plan for us.  We just lose a lot of our creativity and sense of fun as we grow older and get bogged down in the world.  The Lord asks us to be like little children.  I pray that each one of you pick up your purple crayon and take a fresh and fun approach to what God has called you to do in your life.

My purple crayon will set the tone for this blog.  I will strive to bring you creative and fun ways to look at, teach and learn communication skills.  I will be posting some of my articles that are usually written in my own "Goofball Style".  I will also post some communication humor to tickle your funny bone with my purple crayon.  In addition, I will post some communication research and statistics, new products and information from Art of Eloquence and musings of my own!

If you want to have some more purple crayon fun, visit our website at http://www.ArtofEloquence.com and come check out our Playground!

Until next time...

About Me

I was raised by two Atheists of Jewish heritage, married a non practicing Catholic and became a non denominational Christian due, in part, to some Amway meetings and a Jehovah's Witness who came to my door. My purple crayon writes with humor and almost always a little out of the lines. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This blog is my creative and fun way of sharing my thoughts on communication skills relating mostly to homeschooling and sharing and defending the faith. It also reveals a bit about how the Lord took this shy Agnostic girl and allowed her to find her voice and her purpose, a zany voice to the Christian community with insight as to what unbelievers need to hear about Christ Jesus. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'll share news items, quotes, family friendly humor, tips, trivia, and my newest feature: Question of the Week. I invite you to come share your thoughts! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ For more creative fun with JoJo you can visit www.ArtofEloquence.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ "A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver." -Proverbs 25:11
