    Douglas lives in Uganda with his mother and 2 other children.  He is 9 years old, but he will turn 10 on April 24th.  He enjoys soccer, playing with cars, and telling stories.  He is attending church activities through Compassion's ministry and is in primary school, where his performance is average. 
    Douglas' mother is sometimes employed as a farmer.  He helps out by carrying water, washing clothes, and gathering firewood.
