Jairo is an 11-year-old boy from the Dominican Republic.  He lives with his father and stepmother, who are both sometimes employed as laborers.  He helps out at home by carrying water, running errands, and cleaning.
    Jairo enjoys bicycling, baseball, and playing group games.  He regularly attends church activities and Bible class.  He is in primary school where his performance is average.  His birthday is December 27.
