~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHAT is this Expo?
Unlike the traditional homeschooling conference offering curriculum vendors and workshops about 'How to homeschool', at the FRC Museum & Community Education EXPO your students will see over 100 museum and community educators exhibiting for New England's finest Science centers, Historic sites, Zoos, Aquariums, and more!
Each museum exhibitor is offering hands-on workshops for your students. Not about 'How to Homeschool' but about building lightbulbs, making flashlights and clocks to take home with them, signing the Declaration of Independence , even meeting Ben Franklin, John and Abigail Adams!
Over 100 hands-on workshops for your students to choose from when they create their own personal itinerary for the two days of this Ed-venture!
This one-of-a-kind event has been created by the Family Resource Center of New England to not only educate, but also entertain your students! Learning IS fun and we believe ALL learning is an ED-VENTURE! Our theme this year is a "Quest for Knowledge". Each child will receive a pith helmet and passport at the EXPO. Geared up and ready to begin their own personal quest they will investigate and participate in every aspect of this exciting family event!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHO should attend the Expo?
This is a family event for parents and homeschooling children ages 2-14.
Almost every workshop is geared for children ages 6 and up. There are just a couple workshops that we specifically recommend for ages 8 and up. Special auditorium presentations and planetarium shows are fun for the whole family! There will be one classroom, throughout the two days of the event dedicated exclusively to children under age 8 and we are bringing in special educators to do circle time activities specifically geared to children ages 2-7.
Visit our website to learn more about workshops and program descriptions.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ WHY attend the EXPO?
There is no denying the Internet has made the world available to us through the tips of our typing fingers but has it also isolated us?
Today's internet has changed the way homeschooling families communicate with each other and even the way they shop for educational resources. This is reflected in the lower attendance of every traditional homeschooling conference offered this year.
We all have hundreds of homeschooling friends on-line, right? Well, it's time to create a venue to meet ALL of them!
With your support the Family Resource Center of New England will establish a new conference that has less to do with curriculum and more to do with innovative educational experiences for your students!
With your support museum and community educators will gather annually to find out what piques the interests of your homeschooling students. At this event YOU represent the thousands of homeschooling families looking for more in-depth, multi-age programming. This is the place for you to be SEEN and HEARD! Educators will leave this event knowing how to offer programs that meet the unique needs of a family that homeschools their children!
With your support homeschooling children from all over New England can meet each other and be in the company of hundreds of students just like them!
With your support Homeschool Groups from every state can connect with each other at the Expo's annual Not-Back-To-School Picnic.
With your support homeschooling families can kick off every fall with the greatest educational event offered exclusively for homeschooling students.
With your support .....we can do everything!
